About this place Unicorn Lounge Inc.

The Unicorn Lounge is Kelowna's dedicated 2SLGBTQ+ bar — a queer-owned cocktail lounge on Lawrence Avenue in the heart of downtown, and the social anchor of the city's LGBTQ+ scene. It hosts regular drag brunches, drag shows and community events in an intimate, welcoming room. The lounge occupies the space that previously housed Friends of Dorothy, the Okanagan's first LGBTQ+ bar, and reopened under new local ownership in early 2026. Expect craft cocktails, a friendly crowd of regulars and allies, and a calendar of themed nights that makes it the natural first stop for queer visitors to Kelowna and the wider Okanagan Valley.

Very unfortunate that I have to leave this review, but here we go. I have made a reservation for 12 people for my birthday. I had until 9:30 the morning of my booking date to cancel. My husband and child woke up that morning and were immediately violently ill with Norovirus. At 10:10 (40 minutes past the cut off time) I made the call to cancel the reservation to not pass this highly contagious virus to those around me at the bar, and instead stay at home as a courtesy to every one. I didn't decide last minute that I didn't feel like going, nor did I no-show. I made the hard decision to cancel all of my birthday celebration for everyone else's sake. I called the bar as soon as they opened and explained the situation and apologized. They still charged me the cover for all 12 people. Unlike this bar, he restaurant I had booked had graciously waved the reservation fee considering the unfortunate situation that I had no control over. Safe to say that I won't be booking here again. So disappointing.

Great place for a casual cocktail and snacks when available. All inclusive 2SLGBTQIA+ establishment.

This place feels like home and is truly built on such a fantastic drag community! Would love some window coverings/curtains put back up ASAP. To protect the performers and make it feel more elusive and safe for queer folks!

I have been going to Unicorn lounge since it opened and absolutely love the drag shows. The fabulous Honey Graham is the most entertaining, funny and engaging host, Spotlight nights on Thursday with Honey are second to none with Honey at the helm and wonderful local talent showcasing their talents, chefs kiss 😘. I love the inclusive environment and the performers are fantastic. I will say that as a non drinker, the selection is terrible, bring back the mocktails please!

Went here recently for one of the drag on my birthday. It was a wonderful time, and I'm hoping to go again as soon as possible. I'm so glad we have somewhere like this in Kelowna.
