Do not book here if you're looking to use a rental! Dirty, rude service, outdated. We paid $150+ for parking for 3 nights and the parking was in an enclosed (open) area with no real arranged parking spots. Super crammed and disorganized. My sister-in-law booked the reservation through another site because it supposedly had high reviews (don't know how, it was probably paid or bots), and left a note requesting the sofa bed to be made and to have enough towels for 3 people. Of course, we come in and had to make the sofa bed ourself - which, by the way, was absolutely disgusting! Brown stains on the mattress, super thin and old, you wake up in pain because you feel every single spring while you lay in it. When we requested bed sheets, they were extremely rude as if we were being an inconvenience. The extra blanket they provided was thin and rough, not the usual duvet/comforter like the bed. Pillows were lumpy. A gentleman dropped it off and didn't assist with making the bed, only said, "blanket is in the closet," and left. The TV and phone is outdated. Phone didn't work so to get the bedsheets and extra towels, we had to go down to the lobby. TV was all static, remote did not work. It looked like the TV I had growing up in the early 2000s. Only one shampoo and conditioner bottle in the bathroom and it was a 2-in-1... What the heck. Shower head would've been okay if it wasn't spraying in 8 different directions. We had to adjust it so it was a middle jet in order to actually get some sort of pressure. LITTLE TO NO OUTLETS in the suite; the coffee machine wasn't even plugged in because there was no outlet so we had to plug it and leave it on the ground outside the bathroom. If there are outlets, they most likely are loose or don't work. No microwave, so don't count on saving any leftovers you may have! Ironing board has no foam so you're basically ironing on the metal. Only good thing: bathroom was clean. However, nowhere to place your soap or shampoos, you have to leave everythinggggg on the floor of the shower and it's creaky when you stand there. Also, why's there floorboards around the mirror? It doesn't even go all the way around. When leaving your suite, you need to pull REALLY HARD on the door to hear it lock otherwise you can push it open without turning the doorknob. Street parking is basically not a thing unless you want to walk blocks and I do not advise you paying for parking there. Breakfast is bland and HARD. I went down there and felt bad for whoever needed to eat there before starting their day. I saw it and immediately turned around. Elevator is shaky; you never know if it's going to breakdown. Overall, super outdated, uncomfortable, and rude service. If we weren't BAITED on another site, and if it wasn't in the middle of where we needed to be, then we would not have booked. Don't even bother tipping the staff after you left. As someone who's been working in the service industry (in many different fields), this place does not deserve any sort of gratuity.

Horrible, rude service, and not accommodating at all. My boyfriend and I booked weeks in advance through expedia, and when we arrived there to check in they said they had cancelled our reservation and that our security deposit never went through, which we were unaware of. Not a single email, text, or call to inform us that it had been cancelled. We asked if there was any other rooms available and the gentleman at the front desk arrogantly brushed us off. We ended up having to find another hotel, which was extremely inconvenient. Overall rude service and would NOT recommend.

Worst hotel ever. Even motels are far inferior. The room was very old and dirty, the furniture was damaged, and the mattress was filthy and extremely worn. I even checked for insects, and they didn't even take the bed apart underneath. It was worse than anything. And what about the bathroom? The sink was cracked, the shower head was falling off, and the ventilation grille was filthy. Breakfast was supposedly included, but I understand why. Paying for it would be a crime. Having to get out of bed and eating paper plates with no accompaniments was ridiculous. The price was steep, and there wasn't even a toaster. Very disappointing. The last liquor license dates back to 2017, which explains why. Parking was $57, and the room was $180. At that price, you can find much better. Even an Airbnb would be better. On the other hand, the website is very nice; it needs updating so it doesn't mislead customers into thinking the hotel is beautiful. In short, I strongly advise against this place. Spend your money elsewhere.

Excellent location, and a big thank you to Smahane and Ahmed for the warm welcome; they were incredibly professional and very friendly. The room was spacious and clean. We stayed in early June.

★☆☆☆☆ Extremely disappointing stay. I had booked a room for two young women, and the experience fell far short of our expectations. The view from the room directly overlooked a large encampment near the hotel, creating a feeling of discomfort and insecurity. The overall condition of the premises also left much to be desired. The complimentary breakfast was very limited. There were a few bagels, but virtually no side dishes. The biggest problem was the bathroom. After a shower, the drain was so clogged that water accumulated, forming a veritable lake on the floor. The occupants had to ask for towels at reception to try and mop up the water, without much success. Insects were also observed in the room. The accumulation of these problems triggered a major panic attack in one of the guests, who finally left the hotel around 1:00 a.m. to return to Saint-Hyacinthe at her own expense. I contacted the hotel to request a refund and compensation for the expenses incurred and the numerous inconveniences experienced. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet the standards of quality, comfort, and safety we expected.

After a career of traveling in the military and staying at hundreds of hotels, this hotel wins for worst hotel in Canada so far. My toilet overflowed and they said they can't fix it till 9am the next day, they dont even have water available to purchase so I had to walk to a store which is insane. The breakfast had no meats just bread, bagels, croissants and pancakes yet they had no butter or creme cheese. The parking was not included and I had to pay an extra $50! The room and parking combined i could have got a hotel at the Hilton. Do not go here if your visiting Montreal, spend the extra couple bucks and find anything else. Im mostly just amazed I had to leave the hotel to get a bottle of water, thats something ill never forget.

Dirty, run-down, broken furniture, broken beds, broken air conditioning (always 15 degrees Celsius), you have to endure the neighbors' shouting at 2 a.m., very poor service, $250 deposit per room. It's a shame for such a great city that there are such bad hotels... never book here.

I rarely write reviews, but I feel genuinely obligated to warn others about my experience with Empire Suites. This place is completely misleading and does not match the pictures at all. What is shown online looks modern, clean, and comfortable—but what I walked into was the exact opposite. The room I received had a twin bed instead of the advertised queen, and the furniture looked nothing like what was shown. Everything feels outdated and poorly maintained. There is also a strong, unpleasant smell throughout the room, which makes it very uncomfortable to stay in. Cleanliness and basic upkeep seem to be seriously lacking. The gym facilities are also misrepresented. What is advertised is not what actually exists here. On top of that, the customer service has been extremely disappointing—unhelpful and dismissive when concerns are raised. Overall, this feels like a third-rate, shady hotel being marketed as something much better than it actually is. The gap between expectation and reality is huge, and it honestly feels like a scam. I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking here. Don’t rely on the pictures—they are not an accurate reflection of the actual property
