The hotel is close to the metro, etc. Reliable staff. The bedding and room were clean. Varied breakfast. On-site parking is outrageously expensive... €54 per night? There are cheaper options nearby. Otherwise, a good hotel.

Concerns About Guest Safety I stayed at Empire Suites Montreal from June 9–12, 2026, and unfortunately, my experience left me feeling unsafe and unsupported. My room had an adjoining door connecting it to the neighboring room. On my first night, I woke up around 4:00 a.m. to get ready for a full-day tour to Quebec City. I was quietly watching TV at what I believed was a reasonable volume when I suddenly heard someone aggressively trying to open the adjoining door. I also heard an angry voice on the other side. Thinking perhaps they could hear my TV, I immediately lowered the volume. The incident left me shocked and worried. If there was a noise issue, I would have expected them to contact the front desk rather than attempt to open the connecting door. The following night was even more disturbing. After returning from Quebec City exhausted, I went to sleep around 8:00 p.m. and woke up at approximately 11:53 p.m. to the sound of what seemed like luggage or bags being dropped, followed again by someone vigorously trying to open the same adjoining door. At that time, I was not watching TV, listening to music, or making any noise—I had simply been asleep. As a solo female traveler, this experience was frightening. I immediately called the front desk to report what had happened. The staff member came to my room, but instead of showing concern, she dismissed the situation and told me to go back to sleep. She claimed that no one was checked into the neighboring room and suggested it might have been maintenance staff. I questioned why maintenance personnel would be entering a room close to midnight when guests were trying to sleep. What made the situation more frustrating was that I later recorded a video in which voices from a man and a woman could clearly be heard coming from behind the adjoining door, indicating that the room was occupied. Despite this, I received no apology, empathy, or reassurance. I was only told that they would speak to whoever was there. The lack of concern for guest safety and the dismissive response from staff were very disappointing. Because of this experience, I would not stay at this hotel again and cannot recommend it to travelers, especially those traveling alone.

Just minutes after our arrival, we spotted a spider on our sheets. Shortly after, we opened a drawer in our dresser to find a huge spider and a massive cobweb. We immediately went to reception to report the situation. The staff assured us that we would receive financial compensation for the inconvenience. However, despite this promise, we ultimately received no compensation. The cleanliness of the room was unacceptable, and the customer service was very disappointing. We are extremely disappointed with our stay and do not recommend this hotel. I looked at the reviews following my bad experience, and I don't seem to be the only one who had insects. I find it deplorable that no compensation was offered, especially despite the staff's promise.

The breakfast service was very poor, not so much options and the food area always was messy with leftover all over. No garbage bins in the lobby or outside, people are leaving their garbage everywhere. However, the best thing in this hotel was the room cleaning service and front desk. Special thanks to Fadwa.
