Excellent food! I had the shrimp pilaf and my husband had the crab shrimp risotto. We loved both dishes.

The service was incredibly efficient and friendly. We arrived during peak hours and all the tables were taken. The waitress told us there would be a 20-30 minute wait because they also had a lot of orders. Luckily, we decided to wait, and less than 5 minutes later we had a clean table and were served promptly. The pasta was delicious and flavorful. The dish was hot and served in a very reasonable time.

It was very busy and we had a reservation, ate on the patio and waitress was attentive but busy. Food was delicious kimchi pilaff and tomato beef spaghetti. Would order both again and maybe an order of the pork or chicken. Dishes were just the right amount for 2 medium appetites.

I had seen a rave review about The Plate on TikTok and had friends I know recommend here so we decided to see what the hype was about. I have to say the recommendations were well earned! The seafood cream pasta as well as the chicken cream pasta were amazing!!! Portions were perfect and the prices were great! My boyfriend and I will be making many return visits to this gem of a place!

I had the kimchi rice pilaf and it had so much plasticky mayo on top and sugary sweet sauce. Noooooo. A little sweetness, sure. Some sauce, absolutely. But higher quality sauce would have made it sing!

Great place with delicious food! I had the spicy seafood spaghetti, and it was amazing. Definitely give it a try if you visit. The staff were also very friendly. Highly recommended!

The food and service were great.

Another crazy good eatery in Nanaimo!!!! Dropped in tonight for a n unplanned dinner and boy, were we surprised! The menu looked great, so many choices but the wife and I had the seafood cream spaghetti and the spicy shrimp crab spaghetti with a couple glasses of rose wine. Both entrees were delicious, good sized portions for the price and the staff were all so friendly and accommodating. They deserve higher than five stars, thank you for such an amazing dinner tonight!!!

Love the chicken pilaf. Have been ordering from them since a year now. Consistent taste. So good.
