What reviewers say

Visitors appreciate the hotel's convenient location close to downtown and the harbor, with some noting good food and helpful staff. However, a common complaint is significant noise transfer between rooms and from the street, impacting privacy and sleep. Some also found rooms to be small and beds lumpy, and parking can be tight.

Rooms are clean but SO much noise from room upstairs - noticed both times I’ve stayed! The person walking in their room on the floor above sounds like a herd of elephants - the walls vibrate!

I think this hotel has been underrated. Check-in was strictly after 4 p.m. but we were able to leave our (small 16 foot) trailer in the parking lot while we ran errands before check-in. There was a tall gentleman at check-in (sorry, I didn’t catch his name), who was extremely helpful. He called the manager to get permission for us to use the ice machine for our fishing trip the next morning. Our room was excellent; spotlessly clean and luxurious with a fantastic view of the harbor! Our dog stayed in a Michael Lake kennel the first night, but was welcome for the next 2 nights. The hotel has excellent amenities. The laundry/ “kitchen” (has microwave and a large sink), was convenient and laundry was free. There is a roof-top patio with picnic tables and lounge chairs which was very convenient for our first night picnic of fresh catch dungeons crabs! The location is so convenient with easy access to shops, restaurants etc. very nice and Thankyou! I do recommend asking about parking if they don’t offer the information.

Other hotels were booked up for a conference in town. There are reasons this hotel still had rooms including; prices (400$/night for a single queen bed room without a view) ; the desk in the room doesn't have nearby or intergrated electricity and I had a bit of gymnastics to trace back an extension cord to plug in my computer. No late check out available. The bathroom fan was screamed loudly, and only the sound of the plumbing when the shower was turned on rivalled it! (note- you cannot wear noise-cancelling earphones in the shower - I researched). There are better options very nearby including the Snuneymuxw First Nation-owned Marriott Hotel and the Coast Hotel. I will make my travel plans earlier to avoid this hotel in the future or stay out of the city core and cab in and out.

Surprised to see free laundry. Close to everything. Topnotch Burgers are the best.

Close to downtown and the harbour. Also good to stay for the early morning ferry ride.
