Inside Out Toronto LGBTQ Film Festival
About This Event
Inside Out is Toronto's queer film festival, running since 1991 and now called the Inside Out 2SLGBTQ+ Film Festival. It is about ten days of first screenings, galas, shorts programmes and filmmaker Q&As in late May, all at TIFF Lightbox on King Street West, home of the Toronto International Film Festival.
Every screening needs its own ticket. The programme and box office open about three weeks before the festival. Part of the programme has also been offered online.
The 36th edition ran 22 to 31 May 2026, with 29 feature films and 72 shorts from more than 20 countries. The festival's own materials put attendance at about 35,000 per edition; that is its own figure, and we found no independent count. The 2027 dates are officially announced as 20 to 30 May 2027 at TIFF Lightbox. It comes just before Toronto's Pride Month in June, so you can do both on one trip.
