The Burrard

Small well appointed rooms. Clean and comfortable decor. What stood out for us was the outstanding service from both the front of house and the awesome maintenance team. We borrowed the hotel bikes and had a blast round Stanley Park and then back via Granville Island Markets. Can't thank these guys enough for making our stay so memorable. Cafe at the hotel does the best coffee and has a great range of delicious food.

Stayed at this location 3 times now, I’ve only had positive experiences with the staff , room, etc. I incorrectly booked a reservation, and came to the actual physical location of the hotel to clarify that is incorrectly booked, would not the need the room, and requested a cancellation. *ARRIVED 5/22 for a booking on 5/24 (within free cancellation), got charged on 5/24 for full cost - I CLARIFIED ON 5/22 I did not need the room and to cancel While I understand this was 3rd party, and I need to address this with the platform. James R entirely disregarded my efforts to handle this matter and chose to yell, hang up the phone on me, and threaten me to come back to the hotel - I said I would since I need this resolved… I’ve never had anyone in hospitality treat me this way, and I’m a former GSA with Wyndham. I told James multiple times I was not trying to be difficult nor make his job difficult, but that this was extremely concerning that I apparently have no recourse while on site to request a cancellation.

So far, we are truly satisfied in light of the price vs quality ratio. Indeed, overall the service provided was excellent, the room was very clean and location was right in the middle of Vancouver downtown. In the evening, we truly enjoyed the comfortable garden-patio area as well as the complementary snacks and non-alcoholic drink.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an outstanding stay at The Burrard. Not only is it a great hotel with excellent amenities and a fantastic location, but the team went above and beyond for me in a way I’ll never forget. I’m travelling from overseas and had a package sent to the hotel. Unfortunately, it arrived after I’d already checked out. I arranged for a new courier to collect it and forward it to my next destination, and the staff at The Burrard were phenomenal in facilitating the whole process. They kept in touch with me by email, kept me fully updated, and handled everything with genuine care and professionalism. Their help turned a stressful situation into a seamless one. I’m incredibly grateful and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

This is a great older funky hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. They have a great courtyard with couches and games. They also have a nice happy hour. The location is good as it is very walkable to many restaurants and bus as tops are also nearby. I'd recommend staying here over the more sterile corporate hotels.

This is a funky hotel with some good design features and retro things. There is a cafe attached. The rooms face out to a central atrium that looks into the carpark. There is an outdoor gathering space with fire pit. At 7-9pm there is feee beer and canned mocktails in the lobby

We stayed here in Vancouver while on vacation. It was quite expensive for a smaller size room. The air con was like a polar vortex. It was 1000 CAD for 3 nights. While the location was excellent, we found one of the front desk girls to be a bit off putting. She miscommunicated with the tour bus that we 'were not checked in yet' so the tour bus left without us. She was quite chilly in terms of her reception and each time we asked her something, it was if it was a major production. We did end up having a minor emergency that she did field and she seemed quite annoyed to have to help with that as well. When a person has something like a temporary setback such as a lose of a personal item as their keys; one shoukd be more empathic. Instead she was not very polite. She acted as if was a major ordeal to assist in an attempt to locate said items. Luckily, we were able to backtrack and a good samiritan tirned them in. In totality; this is a retro meets Disney themed Princess prints on the wall hotel that was lackluster in the sense that for the price no continental breakfast was offered, no drink vouchers at a bar on lication or nearby where offered. Merely some mocktails, ice and Dorito's. The Mocktails contain s ton of sugar and carbs btw. We took one, but upon further examination left it in the fridge. Not worth the calories or extra sugar. Give this place a miss if you come to Vancouver. We did have 2 nice enough clerks at night. The price was not certainly not worth the level of overall service initially we received. Our motto( as I am in the service industry), you only get 1 time to make a first impression. We loved Vancouver and will consider returing. If and when we do, it will certainly not be to a mediocore overpriced hotel like this. The redeeming quality was its location and 2 clerks that were somewhat hospitable

What a cool retro spot, my partner was giddy when we got there how cool, fun and playful this location is. Central area is super cool, and having the onsite parking visible from walking out our room was appreciated. If your room is on the Burrard side it can be very loud at night with traffic and sirens driving by, so the portable air conditioner was very welcomed to block out the sound but if you need quiet for sleep request a room on the back side of the hotel. We very much enjoyed our stay and the love the owners put into this location to make it stand out from every other place to stay. Unique spot!
