About this place The Bar at Casa Karma

The Bar at Casa Karma is a gay bar on the beach in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, open to anyone, not just guests of the Casa Karma Boutique Resort. It’s a little more polished than some of the bigger spots in town.

You’ll find it right on the sand, with Pacific views, a relaxed vibe, and an upscale feel. It manages to be both laid-back and a bit fancy, which isn’t always easy to pull off.

The gay scene in Puerto Vallarta is big on beachfront spots, and this one fits right in. They’ve got quality service, a comfortable setup (yes, it’s wheelchair accessible, and there’s Wi-Fi), and they serve tapas if you want to make a night of it. You won't feel rushed. It's not a high-energy club, but a place to actually talk and unwind.

It’s on Carretera a Barra de Navidad, so you’re close to most of Puerto Vallarta’s main tourist areas. Being part of a resort gives it a different feel than your average standalone bar, a bit more considered. Check casakarma.net/the-bar-at-casa-karma/ for hours and what’s on.

I recently stayed here for my friends wedding..absolutely stunning villa. Beautiful views. Such a relaxing environment. The villa had 7 members of staff and all were Incredible. 5 mins uber or so down to thr beach/pier (ubers dirt cheap so tip the drivers).... 100% recommend this villa.

I spent a wonderful 5 days with good friends over the Easter weekend at Casa Karma and I can’t recommend it highly enough. In full disclosure it wasn’t my first stay so I’m a repeat customer. The location on the beach just outside the town center, reachable by walking along the beach, is unbeatable. The villa itself is bright, comfortable, stylish with a pool and spectacular views particularly at sunset. Maybe the best part is the staff who provided top class meals, cocktails and service. So while all PV has to offer is close by CK, it’s also tempting to spend all your holiday there! I look forward to planning a return trip.

Our family recently stayed at Casa Karma as part of a wedding party and were quite disappointed with the experience. The intention of my review is to give additional insight to couples/families that want to consider the needs of small children when deciding on their wedding venue with the intention of renting the villa for your stay as well. This venue is not kid-friendly at all and is designed for an adult only group. The stairs are dangerous, the pool is too deep for young children, and there are no amenities or activities designed for kids. Additionally, the venue is dated. One of the bath handles didn't work, and the overall decor and facilities felt old and in need of an update. To make matters worse, we were charged an outrageous $200 for a pack and play, which is something that most other home rentals/venues/hotels include for free. This unexpected expense added to our frustration and made us feel like we were being nickel-and-dimed for an already unacceptable experience. The pack and play was old and we could have purchased a new one for less than that and donated it to a local needy shelter on our way out. So it isn't as if they had to source one, specifically for our stay. We understand that this is intended to be a villa, a whole home rental rather than a traditional hotel or resort. However, if you are looking for top amenities (pool, beach access, accommodations), kid-friendly spaces, or an open kitchen/restaurant, this is not the place for you. We had the opportunity to spend a day at a resort just 5 minutes away. The views there are just as spectacular, if not more so. The service was incomparable, breakfast was included, and the rooms were absolutely beautiful. Overall, I would NOT recommend Casa Karma for families with young children or anyone seeking a modern, more luxurious, accommodating stay.
