Gay Beaches in Puerto Vallarta
The main gay beach in Puerto Vallarta is Playa Los Muertos, at the southern edge of Zona Romantica. The gay section is the stretch fronting the Blue Chairs and Mantamar, marked by rows of blue and green umbrellas, running south toward the Los Muertos Pier and the rocky cove past the seahorse statue. Expect loungers, food-and-drink service, a friendly crowd and easy access to the bars just behind the sand.
Mantamar Beach Club, attached to Almar Resort, is the flagship gay beach club, with pools, DJs and party days that ramp up during Vallarta Pride and the winter circuit events. For a full day on the sand it is the social heart of the gay beach scene.
