La Terraza Inn

It's an excellent place to stay in Puerto Vallarta. The rooms are decorated in a cozy and elegant style, and the fans and air conditioning are functional and of good quality. The heated pool is clean and very comfortable, and the hotel's ambiance is reminiscent of home, making you feel right at home, but on the beach. It has a prime location just a few blocks from the beach, and the staff is always friendly and available to assist you during your stay. Without a doubt, the best place to stay when your plan is to visit the Romantic Zone and spend a pleasant day at the beach. 100% recommended, I'll definitely be back! 😃

Excellent hotel, small but with all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. Very quiet and peaceful. Spacious rooms with kitchenettes. Ideal for those seeking tranquility with all services nearby, such as the beach one block away, restaurants, cafes, and shops. The internet works perfectly with excellent speed. The staff is very friendly. It has a terrace with an umbrella. The only thing to keep in mind is that there are a few steps to climb to reach the rooms.

Excellent experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, answering all our questions. Definitely one of the best places I've visited in Vallarta. The location is fabulous, just steps from the beach, and there are several shops nearby so you can stock up before heading to the beach and focus solely on sunbathing and relaxing. I will definitely stay here again.

La Terraza is an absolutely fabulous place to stay in Puerto Vallarta, and it truly earns all five stars. The property has a rustic, traditional Mexican style that feels authentic and full of character from the moment you arrive. It’s warm and inviting, exactly the kind of place that lets you feel connected to the setting rather than sealed off from it. Upon checkin, you retrieve physical, metal keys - not a keycard. The iron gate to the property is locked at all times and only a key can open it. There’s no guard or anything like that - and there doesn’t need to be. Cleanliness is a major highlight. Both the rooms and the outdoor spaces are very tidy and well maintained. The courtyard and pool area are spotless and thoughtfully cared for, making them a relaxing place to unwind. The pool is quaint and charming, good for a dip without the chaos of a large resort pool. The staff were consistently kind, welcoming and helpful. It’s clear they take pride in the property and genuinely care about guests having a good experience. Another big plus is how practical and comfortable the rooms are. Having a kitchenette with a refrigerator was incredibly convenient, especially for longer stays or casual mornings. Despite being close to restaurants, beaches, and activity, the property is surprisingly quiet at night. Location-wise, La Terraza is excellent. It offers easy walking access to multiple beaches and is great l for exploring different parts of Puerto Vallarta. Be sure to go eat breakfast at The Porch, directly below La Terraza. Amazing It’s important to note that this is not a flashy, all-inclusive 5-star resort and it doesn’t try to be. Instead, it’s a very comfortable, charming, and well-run place to stay while enjoying PV. Also worth mentioning: there is no elevator, and many rooms require climbing several steep staircases, so guests with mobility concerns should plan accordingly. Overall, La Terraza offers authentic charm, cleanliness, convenience, and genuine hospitality. I would absolutely stay here again and gladly recommend it to travelers looking for a relaxed, character-filled stay in Puerto Vallarta.

Excellent hotel! Highly recommend and will definitely book again. The pictures on the website are accurate. Very clean and safe. We rented unit 5, two big beds(firm mattresses), kitchenette with huge fridge and four burners. Separate bathroom from shower area, tv w/ English Netflix. Street view, partial ocean view on patio. Patio had a comfy two chairs and table. Delicious coffee included and filtered water. The owners and team were always available and soo nice. The pool was small but perfect for a dip or spot to read on a hot day. Walking distance to the beach, 1/2 block away.

Home away from home!!! Been going to PV for over 15 years and stayed at this local gem last year. Centrally located - 1 block from the beach and walking distance to the restaurants, shops and Malecon (boardwalk). This place has kept the Mexican charm, has lots of vegetation and quiet. Rooms are spacious, well equipped and clean. The owners are onsite and Rudy checks in with you on a regular basis. See you in less than a month. Daniel

So beautifully decorated! Everything was just like the pictures and better. A little on the edge of ZR which made it very quiet during the night while still being super close to everything. Stairs can be a workout. Check-in and check-out went super smooth. The initial email with the key lock combo did end up in my junk so I would just double check that. They’re super fast to respond to messages though.

Such a great stay. The location is perfect, close to everything but still quiet and relaxing. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Loved the rooftop terrace for morning coffee and sunset views. It’s my go to stay when visiting Puerto Vallarta.

Wonderful inn with wonderful service in a fantastic location. One block from the beach and 2-3 minute walk to the action in Zona Romantica (which also means it's quieter at night when you want to sleep!), We will be back!

I wanted to write an updated review since I’ve stayed here so many times! I highly recommend this hotel! The rooms are a great size! The staff is accommodating and friendly! The mini bar downstairs is a great stop for a drink to go!
