About this place VERS

VERS is Albuquerque's newest LGBTQ+ nightspot, opened in July 2026 along the Central Avenue corridor at the edge of Nob Hill. Founders Lucas Romero and Luke Rogers grew the venue out of their long-running "Friends of Dorothy" mixers, and the result is a combined nightclub, bar and restaurant built around a proper dance floor. Expect resident DJs, drag performances and comedy nights alongside a full food-and-cocktail menu, drawing a young, mixed queer crowd.

I came here for a drink and the person working was rude. Denied my friends and myself a drink because bias reasons. I will not go here again. I go out in the Castro San Francisco and this place is not at all that welcoming, good luck. I recommend other bars in the area like sidewinders. If you want to be treated poorly uncalled for go here.

I had high hopes, the vibe wasn’t bad. The drinks are alright. The staff is horrendous. One of the least professional and enjoyable experiences I’ve had in Albuquerque. Probably just go to a straight bar or one of the other gay bars in town. This place has months left to survive.

Great spot, drinks are strong, dance area, lots of bartenders, clean bathrooms. ABQ needed this space!

I'll keep my review short. My drink tasted like everything it wasn't supposed to be. I ordered a vodka cran and it tasted like a spiced rum mixed with a really bad cranberry juice. Majorly disappointing. They didn't open the dancefloor until almost 11(almost 3 hrs late than the event time). Lastly the owners are unbelievably unprofessional. They argue and act as if they are customers at their own bar. I expect much more from someone trying to open/ run a new business. Also why only one mens bathroom?? What about a women's bathroom!? Or even batter why couldnt all of them stay gender neutral I found that really weird.
