My husband and me added this hotel in our favorite list but the last two times we booked there but had bad experiences. I admit that the people of front desk are all good but the uncomfortable things are room sanitation. The circle of toilet was not cleaned and there was perfume left on the robes, and here all over the sheets which lead me to believe they didn’t service the room. And they only offered two shower old grey towels(they should be white) in the room. The thing that drove me crazy most!!! , was the shampoo container was so small it is impossible to squeeze liquid out at all. This Hotel charges for everything, $30 a day per parking, yet fails to provide very simple necessities. We really Love this Hotel, but refuse to sacrifice cleanliness and comfort over brand… I do hope they will do better in the future, we will not return unfortunately.

This was my second time staying here and the first time was fine. This time, when I returned to my hotel room on the first evening, I immediately noticed a very strong smell of sulfur, most likely sewage gas from the toilet. The windows are sealed closed. The hotel engineer didn't smell anything, though my neighbors had the same complaint, and thought it would be appropriate to offer air freshener when I asked for a way to air out the room. Shortly after he left, the smell caused an asthma attack and I had to immediately leave and request a new room. The second room was fine.

This place was our home after the Eaton Fire decimated the hotel’s neighbors. It’s historic. The architecture is beautiful. The rooms are comfy, clean, and retro 1980s vibe with a dash of Star Trek: The Next Generation. The staff is lovely, the bar is lovey, and (if you are lovely), you’ll love this joint 😉

Great staff, great area/location convenient to shops, restaurant, coffee, etc.. Rooms could use a refresh but are clean and comfortable.

I’m giving this hotel a 3 star review because of the coffee situation: I’ve traveled all over the world and even the lowest establishments make sure you can access coffee in the morning. Here there is no coffee offered until 6:30 am and it is not complimentary. So what one must do if they have an early flight and are up at 5am is to make sure you have coffee from a nearby shop the night before then early in the am go to one of the floors with a microwave and heat up that coffee. Really not a 4 or 5 star experience to not be able to order or make coffee in your room upon waking. So disappointing because the hotel itself is quite nice and so are the staff and of course the pool. If you don’t need coffee in the morning before heading to LAX for a flight then this won’t be a problem for you.
