In Anchorage, this is the best lodging. Very clean, new fixtures and furniture, new everything. Cozy Nordic vibe. Fabulous coffee / gift shop. Great restaurant and bar. Super convenient location. Fabulous views from the 3rd floor shared space and balcony. (In Anchorage, I have never seen a hotel room with a beautiful view so lower your expectations.)

Our stay at the Wildbirch Hotel was disappointing due to a significant issue with the room's climate control. The heat/air conditioning in Room 3191 was not working properly. After our first night, which was already uncomfortably warm, we contacted the front desk and were told a work order had been submitted. Unfortunately, nothing was done to resolve the problem. Our second night was unbearably hot, making it difficult to sleep and enjoy our stay. When we raised the issue again, the only response we received was an apology. I understand that maintenance issues can happen, but I would have expected the hotel to either move us to another room or offer some form of compensation for the inconvenience. The lack of follow-through and customer service was very disappointing.

Worst experience ever. Absolute disaster. I booked this hotel well in advance through Booking.com, but when I arrived at 10 PM—already exhausted and starving—the front desk told me that they didn't even have a room ready. I was forced to wait for over an hour just to get my room key. To make matters worse, the staff’s attitude was completely dismissive and careless. In addition, this hotel is not cheap. For a hotel at this price point, this level of service is utterly unacceptable. Highly NOT recommended!

Pretty good hotel and staff.. the hotel breakfast is pretty good too - all alacarte, made to order food.. The front desk gave us vouchers for breakfast for an issue in room type upon checkin , speaks volume about their customer service.. All amenities were pretty good

We stayed here for 3 nights. Rooms were a decent size, service great, food great and central for walking. You heard horns of the trains at night but it was so interesting as we saw loads of military planes flying in and out. They also had a kettle in our room for making hot drinks (tea) which was great as the Sheraton didn't even have a kettle in our room & couldnt locate one for us to use. Crap. (not happy). Would definetly recommend The Wildbirch Hotel !
