I loved the Nespresso machine in the room. I wish you could purchase the Molton Brown Mandarin and Clary Sage body products from the hotel.

Love this place! Wife and son both loved the pool and the game room. The rooms are always clean and staff is super friendly! Will be staying again when we return to Highlands.

What an awesome place absolutely love it!

LOVE, love love! Will definitely stay here again. What’s to love? Well, I’ll tell you. Our room was very clean, cute as could be and super cozy with the gas fireplace. Our suite had a super comfy bed with lots of pillows and the couch and chair were equally comfortable. Our balcony overlooked main street and one of the fire pits below. I liked that each room was a motel style access. Being able to park directly outside of our room with no lobby to have to go through. I loved having the corner unit also. The huge shower with the multiple jet options, complimentary shampoo & conditioner, heated tile floor, and the double sinks were fabulous! I especially like that one of the sinks was separate from the shower / toilet. Bonus points for the complementary lighted magnifying mirror, cotton balls & Q-Tip’s. (It’s the little things.) Our room had a coffee maker, refrigerator WITH a freezer, which was very convenient. The only thing I wish our room would have had, was a microwave. Super quiet and relaxing there. They specify they have strict quiet hours there and that they will be upheld. That is much appreciated. The location was perfect, being within walking distance of the many restaurants and shops. Also close to many other activities that are available in the general area. Edit to add that our second stay here was just as amazing as our first one last year. Absolutely love this place. The king bed was very comfortable, the heated floors and fire place were great for the cold nights. The recreation room downstairs is a great place to hang out, if you’re not at the fire pits. Good gym too. Can’t wait to come back. We did the rise and dine option, with breakfast at Madison’s and we totally enjoyed the meal there. The atmosphere, service, and food were exceptional. Due to our travel plans, we were only there for one night, but I will definitely be planning a return trip for which we can stay longer. I highly recommend 200 Main.

I stayed at 200 Main Hotel in Highlands, North Carolina in November 2024 for my birthday weekend, and it was absolutely wonderful! I was traveling solo with my goldendoodle, Libby, and the entire experience was top-notch from start to finish. This boutique hotel is part of the Old Edwards Hospitality Group, located just a short 2-3 block walk from the main Old Edwards Inn right in downtown Highlands. The location couldn’t be better — right at the end of Main Street and within easy walking distance of great shops, restaurants, and local bars. Although it’s an older property, the hotel has been completely renovated and brought up to true luxury standards — plush bed linens, thick bath towels, and high-end bath amenities. The rooms are cozy, quiet, and beautifully updated, and best of all, dog-friendly! Some rooms even feature balconies or fireplaces with views of charming downtown Highlands. The hospitality at 200 Main is exceptional. When I mentioned I’d be traveling with my dog, the staff went above and beyond — they had a dog bed, food and water bowls, and even a treat waiting for Libby upon arrival. That kind of thoughtful touch really stood out. For those who want the same level of Old Edwards quality and service at a more budget-friendly price, 200 Main is the perfect choice. You get access to all the resort amenities and the same warm Southern hospitality in a more relaxed, down-to-earth setting. If you enjoy hiking, there’s even trail access just steps from the property — you can literally walk out of your room and onto the Highlands-Cashiers Conservancy trail network. Wonderful people, a great location, pet-friendly accommodations, and pure comfort. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend 200 Main to anyone visiting Highlands!

Our stay at 200 main was not wonderful. The grounds/amenities and rooms all felt tired and dated. I really was expecting more with this hotel connected with Old Edwards Inn brand. We stayed in a king balcony room for right below $400 a night and the room did not reflect the price. However, my review reflects more on the customer service. We were celebrating my husbands birthday. I called early that morning for early check in and was told I would receive a text when our room was ready. We arrived around noon to let them know we were in town before grabbing lunch and was told again we would receive a text. My husband checked back a little after 2pm before a big rain storm was about to come and told more rudely that we would receive a text. Once 3:40 came we went into the lobby and another rep told us our room was ready. (No text ever came.) When we checked in, we were changing into dry clothes and someone knocked firmly on our door. By the time my husband could change clothes to answer the door she knocked firmly two more times. We opened the door and she was there to hand us a card from 200 main that typed out happy birthday. This did not seem like something 3 different knocks justified. I don’t think we will ever try 200 main again. We did half mile farm in the past and it was wonderful so would recommend staying at either old edwards inn or half mile farm. Unfortunately our stay this weekend was disappointing.

My husband and I just stayed at 200 main for my birthday trip, and we are SO glad we did! The room was stunning - we had a king bed with a fireplace and we loved how easy it was to turn the fireplace on and off! We enjoyed that for some slower mornings and evenings. The shower and bathrooms were huge and so nice! We do recommend getting a second floor room - we had one and were glad we did! We Had seen other reviews saying to try to get second floor and we recommend it as well! We also loved looking out our balcony! Everything was so nice, including the pool and hot tub! Melany and all staff were so sweet and even gave me a birthday card! Next time we come to highlands we hope to stay here again! I would rate it 10 stars if I could!

Really excellent location and amenities but the floors are really creaky so you hear the people above you as they walk and for me the beds are too firm. Try to stay on the second floor.

200 Main is a nicely remodeled older hotel within easy walking distance of downtown shops. Clean rooms with balconies. Did not trigger my severe asthma.
