About this place Knomad Bar

Knomad Bar is a neighbourhood bar on Corona Drive in East Austin, just off Cesar Chavez. It is a mainstream, gay-friendly bar rather than a gay one: a dog-friendly patio, trivia nights, occasional live music and pub food, with a relaxed mixed crowd of locals. It works as an easy drink if you are staying on the east side and want to avoid the Sixth Street crowds. There is no regular queer programming, so for a gay night out head to the bars around Fourth Street downtown afterwards.

Laid back, no pretension, cool hang and good drinks. What more can you ask for?

This is a comfortable and casual neighborhood hangout with a rather nice selection of brews. The stage and dancefloor lend themselves well to the immediacy of a swinging band an those moving to the music; further back, the tables are large and flexible enough for dynamic groups. The patio is quieter and covered, right for just about any weather.
