aGLIFF PRISM 39 ( ) — Austin's LGBTQ+ Film Festival
About This Event
aGLIFF is Austin's LGBTQ+ film festival. The name now stands for All Genders, Lifestyles and Identities Film Festival. It calls itself the longest-running queer film festival in the US Southwest. Since 2021 the yearly festival has gone by the name PRISM plus an edition number, and the 2025 one was PRISM 38.
The festival runs over four days, now packaged as The Big Queer Weekend. Most screenings are at Galaxy Theatres Austin, and some programmes run at AFS Cinema. In 2026 that included a screening and Q&A in the Queer Cinema: Lost & Found series. There are side events too. In 2026 they included a free Pride in Local Music show at Drinks Backyard on 26 September and a creatives brunch and pool party the next day.
The dates move around, so don't assume a month. PRISM 38 ran 16 to 19 October 2025, and the 2026 festival ran 24 to 27 September. The 2027 dates hadn't been announced when we checked.
