About this place Steamworks SF

Steamworks SF is the largest and most comprehensively equipped gay sauna in San Francisco, part of the international Steamworks chain that also operates in Chicago, Vancouver and Berlin. The Mission District facility on Bryant Street provides the full range of modern gay sauna amenities: a heated pool, steam room, dry sauna, gym equipment, private rooms and cabins available for rental, multiple darkroom areas, and a lounge area for social interaction. The 24-hour operation makes Steamworks the default destination when the bars close on Castro or after an evening in SoMa. The facility is well-maintained and regularly cleaned to a standard that justifies the entry fee. The Bryant Street location is in the Mission, equidistant between the Castro bar scene to the west and the SoMa leather venues to the north. Entry includes a locker; private rooms are available for rental at additional cost. The crowd is diverse in the way that San Francisco's gay community is diverse, with a mix of ages and body types that reflects a city that has always had more tolerance for variety than most. Steamworks SF is the right answer for visitors who want a sauna experience in a well-operated, centrally located facility.

I told the employee a man tried to rape me and they said call the manager in the morning. The company supports rape culture and won't even try to handle the situation. Don't go if you value your safety and sanity. I'm thinking about sueing at this point. Edit: reducing to zero if I could. Called the manager the following morning hung up in my face and told me I was lying. FINALLY GOT HIM TO LISTEN. still called me a liar. He says oh the employee said there was an incident with unwanted advanced. The guest literally forced his fist into me without concent and refused to stop when I said no it hurts stop I don't want it. Finally agreed to refund the membership but only the membership after several call backs and made it a point to tell me I was black listed for this. Do not go. You ARE NOT SAFE. if you value your physical and mental health just do not go. YOU AREN'T SAFE.
