Hotel room was filthy. The carpets in the rooms and hallways had stains. It hadn’t been dusted, nor did it seem to have been vacuumed. There was pet hair all over the couch and floor. There were ants in the light fixtures. Drawers were broken, and the bath tub had mold. The shared areas smelled of weed, and the outdoor fire pit wasn’t operational. There was an outdoor grill, but we were told it wasn’t for general use, but only a private grill for one of the residents.
The best in the area for the price!
For the money its priceless, best deal in the lehigh valley. Book it. Great staff and breakfast, everything was A+
I know this place gets busy, and offers longer stays and is cost effective, but I would like to stress the importance of cleaning the rooms. We walked into our room and it smelled like smoke and the tv was on. The carpets are filthy, and bathrooms, doors, walls (worst of all the couch) all look grimey to the point that we don't want to use the kitchenette, sit on the couch or touch the bathroom door (the shower had peoples hair in it) then doing a deep clean is key. The bed was clean, we think, could have used more pillows and the AC did NOT work well. Your front desk team was kind though, but we will find accommodations elsewhere in the future.
Stayed three nights. Note, the Sonesta Allentown location has changed and not for the better. A spacious room with a kitchette, however disappointing for a mediocre mattress, pillows, and stains on the carpet. The guest breakfast bar was especially poorly managed and stocked, the lackadaisical cook apparently only cooking small batches and monitoring the buffet with indifference. Take a performance tip from the Days Inn across from the airport, by comparison always plenty of food and reliably well-stocked.
Staff at check in very helpful.
