We were so delighted to find this charming apartment, well situated for Boston highlights, very well set up, comfortable and lovely and warm during a sudden Boston cold-freeze. Everything worked well, the television, Alexa, the kitchen and the decor very pleasant and interesting. Terry was right there for every query and his instructions were clear and easy. Free parking is close by (not available immediately below) but all worked out so well and most of all we were very happy.
I cannot begin to say enough good things about the hosts, Terry and Mindy. They were extremely accommodating during my stay with them. They were readily available and able to help me when original plans fell through. They responded to every question and request that I had in a very timely and positive manner. As for the accommodations, very nice! I stayed in the Cozy Suite (#2). A nicely appointed two room suite. The first room is a cozy living/bed area and the second is a large eat-in kitchen. This unit came with a spacious private bath. The architect is old New England including a clawfoot bathtub, which reminded me of my home growing up. This unit is very well kept and very clean. For those curious about the bed, very comfortable! This unit is conveniently located near lots of businesses and the T, so everything is at your fingertips. If I ever have the need to stay in the Boston/Brookline/Dorchester area again, I will certainly reach out to Terry and Mindy.
We stayed in 61 Centre St, Unit 2 for a long weekend to celebrate my son’s graduation from Northeastern. The multilevel apartment was perfect for my family. We had a comfortable living area, well stocked kitchen, two updated bathrooms and four comfortable bedrooms. We enjoyed climbing up to the rooftop in the evening for a beautiful view of the city. One note: there are many flights of stairs. I would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues.
A lovely old building. Beautifully decorated. Loved all the art & modern furniture mixed with classic antiques. And every amenity carefully considered. Great attention to detail, such as bedside tables, outlets for charging phones, lots of lamps, Kleenex boxes (in beautiful decorative box covers), plenty of fluffy towels & washcloths, towel hooks in bedrooms & bathrooms, blankets, throws, comfortable seating with nice down pillows on the couch. I could go on and on.
My family of four stayed at the two bedroom duplex. The apartment is tastefully decorated with great attention to detail and easily sleeps four guests in two double beds. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. It is also well equipped with spices, (sharp) knives and other cooking utensils, as well as crockery and cutlery for four people. There is also a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The apartment is located in a quiet, well-kept residential area on the outskirts of Boston. The city centre is easily accessible by car or subway. There are plenty of parking spaces nearby (although you are not allowed to park in front of the building) and the subway station is only seven minutes away. The landlord was available for any questions and always responded quickly and helpfully.
This is our second visit to the Fort Hill Inn. We have stayed in two units, and each was delightful—scrupulously clean and well equipped. Customer service and communication were excellent. We will stay here every time we visit Boston.
Stayed at the 4 bedroom triplex with the family for a spring break trip. Loved it. Very comfy and cozy. We ended up staying in one day due to bad weather and had a great time enjoying the record player, games, and entertainment. Would definitely stay here again. One thing for future guests to note about the particular place we stayed in are the stairs. There are quite a few of them and some are narrow/steep. We had zero issues, just a heads up for any guests that have issues with stairs.
