Red Butte Ranch Private Lodging

Loved the cottage. It was perfect for our group of three and was stocked with everything you could need. Ruth was an amazing host. Can't wait to come back next year!

Absolutely beautiful, quiet property in Casper, WY. The owners are kind and attentive. Stayed in the cottage; lots of room, amenities were plentiful, ample room for two dogs to wander.

My husband and son in law planned a fishing trip so we decided we'd make a trip out of it with our dog Beau. We stayed at the cottage by the river at Red Butte Lodge and it was absolutely perfect. The cottage had all the amenities of home, the mountain and the river views were beautiful, temperatures and fishing were great. Ruth is a wonderful host and Beau enjoyed his playtime with Ruth's dogs Deuce and Lucy. We will definitely be going back and would highly recommend it to anyone.

We just stayed at Red Butte Ranch and had a lovely time. Ruth us a wonderful host and the location is perfect. The beds were comfortable and we had a wonderful night’s sleep. We highly recommend staying here and I would certainly return if we’re in the area again.

Only had time to stay here one night, but wish to come back and explore the area more. This is a delightful, picturesque spot, right on the North Platte River. Breakfast was great - and a chance to visit with Ruthie, whose history is fascinating!

My favorite spot to stay in the Casper area. Great and affordable lodging options that range from reserving just a bed room to reserving an entire cottage, both of which are right on the river! Ruth will take fantastic care of you and have breakfast and hot coffee waiting for you when you wake up. If you are lucky, Greg will be around and might even share some fly fishing information with you ;) Have been staying here for years and can't recommend Red Butte Ranch highly enough!!

Nice owners perfect to get away country living

We had a great time. Our hostess, Ruth was awesome, accomodating, and very welcoming. Her three dogs are very friendly. The location is beautiful with God's creation on full display everywhere you look. Great place to go for fishing, hunting, or simply as a centeal point to explore the surrounding country side. Highly recommended!

We held our 50th anniversary celebration at Red Butte and couldn’t have chosen a better location. The site is so pretty and wonderfully relaxing for any event. Even more perfect for us were the accommodations. We had 20 family members coming in from all over the country and the properties available at Red Butte were able to accommodate everyone very comfortably. I had worried that perhaps the Lodge would get very noisy with 2 small children downstairs but we hardly heard anything from downstairs, even when the young cousins (5 children under 7) decided to have a slumber party one night. In addition to the available beds, there were large couches and daybeds in both the Lodge and the Cottage, which provided some additional sleeping space for a couple of good friends who felt they probably shouldn’t be driving after the party. Ruth, the owner of Red Butte, was super helpful from the very beginning in providing recommended names and numbers for all the details of our party & I just couldn’t have hoped for anything better. Red Butte Ranch is the perfect location for relaxing or celebrating or both.

Had a wonderful stay! Host is accommodating and helpful. Will be back again.
