At 728 West Cornelia Avenue, Hydrate is a dance club that anchors the Boystown nightlife. It's where you go to actually dance, with live DJs and a proper sound system.
There’s usually no cover before midnight, which is a nice perk if you get there early. Things typically start to get busy around then, so showing up before other bars let out means you’ll avoid the crush and have space to move.
Boystown has always been Chicago's LGBTQ+ heart, with plenty of bars and clubs, each with its own vibe. Some are chill, some are full-on dance floors. Hydrate leans toward the latter, with a focus on music and movement rather than quiet catch-ups.
The club closes at 2 am. If you want a bit more room, get there earlier. If you're a late-night person, expect a crowd. Always a good idea to check hydratechicago.com for current hours or if there’s a special event that might change the cover.

Really fantastic dance floor! Went for Club Flamingo and wow. Great sound, great lights, and a really smooth clean dance floor. Actually good dancing possible. Met the owner by accident and he was delightful!
