They focus on new stuff, exploring gender and sexual identity. That means everything from the scripts to the actors usually feels fresh, not like something you've seen a hundred times before. You won't find tired revivals here.
For a company this size, they've pulled in some serious talent over the years. Playwrights and directors who’ve worked with About Face have gone on to win Pulitzers, Tonys, and MacArthur "genius" grants. It’s a good place to see what’s next.

Love this space compared to their old offices on Broadway-- it's much more accessible and a charming place to create art. It's close to several coffee shops both indie and mainstream, easily accessible from the brown line, and staffed by delightful theatre makers dedicated to queer, intersectional storytelling.
