About this place Rosebud on Rush

Rosebud on Rush takes the Rosebud restaurant group's name into one of Chicago's livelier spots. You'll find it on North Rush Street. This is an Italian place, pretty classic, pretty upscale, right in the middle of the city's LGBTQ+ scene. The Rosebud name carries weight in Chicago, so if you want good Italian in an inclusive setting, it's an easy pick. Chicago's gay dining scene has a lot going on, from casual joints to places like this. This one's definitely the latter. Think polished restaurant, not a bar or club. Good for a special occasion, a date, or dinner with friends. And because it's on Rush Street, you're near other gay-friendly spots and nightlife if you want to keep the night going. No surprises here. Rosebud on Rush is a solid dining experience, backed by the group's long history. You can find their menu and book a table at rosebudrestaurants.com. It's at 720 North Rush Street, Chicago, Illinois.

Born and raised in NYC. Best Italian food in the Midwest. Portions are huge, you will take home leftovers. Excellent canolli. Servers are very responsive and keep an eye on your table. It can be a little loud when crowded, but who cares, the food is amazing.

This is my favorite restaurant in Chicago. Benito is my favorite server. He's is ALWAYS on his game! But, the whole staff are amazing and exceptional. You will never have bad service here. The food is amazing. I eat here 2 to 3 times a week. My favorite is the chicken parmesan. But honestly everything on this menu is really exceptionally good. I love the upstairs seating downstairs seating and outdoor seating. Linguine with clams is also a favorite. It's also great for people watching Exodus next to the peninsula hotel and there's always a lot of foot traffic.

I finally got to dine here while in Chicago. I've heard so many great things about this restaurant. We have dined at the Dallas,TX location and decided to eat dinner here in Chicago at the Rush St location. We all had the Filets Pittsburgh style with the Tots, and Fries. We also had wine and their signature Old Fashion cocktail. Everything was absolutely amazing! The entire experience was great. We will definitely be back.

One of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. Our waiter, Theodore George, was rude, inattentive, never refilled our water, and barely served us throughout the meal. We ordered chicken parmesan and spaghetti with meatballs, and both dishes were dry, bland, and disappointing. We left half the food untouched. Despite the poor service, we still left a tip based on what we felt was appropriate. The most shocking part happened when we were leaving. The waiter called after us and told us that next time we should tip at least 15%!!!! 😱😱 We were honestly shocked by how unprofessional and disrespectful that was! We immediately spoke to the manager and explained everything — from the poor service and bad food to the waiter demanding a higher tip. Unfortunately, the conversation did not make the situation feel any better. We left upset and would never return or recommend this place to anyone. Such a horrible experience!
