About this place Tweet

Tweet, a Chicago North Side institution, sits right next to its sibling, Big Chicks Tavern. You go for breakfast and brunch. You go to refuel after a long night out. You go for a casual, no-fuss meal. It's the kind of place you see everyone: LGBTQ+ couples, straight families, sports teams, anyone who needs a solid breakfast.

The food is hearty, satisfying, and mostly organic. Think breakfast burritos, omelets, and pancakes piled high. The room gets loud and fun, just like the crowd that fills it from morning through early afternoon. It’s a place that just feels good to be in, where the focus is food and company, nothing else.

One thing: Bring cash. They don't take cards. Hit an ATM before you get there. This neighborhood spot is a local favorite for a reason, drawing anyone who wants good, unpretentious food in a welcoming space.

Went for brunch on a busy Sunday and everything about the experience was great. Solid food, fun atmosphere, and absolutely top notch service. Prepare to wait a bit, but sitting at the bar with a mimosa makes it just fine. I’ll be back again and again.

Went here for brunch on Memorial Day and I gotta say...it blew me away. It's an old school, somewhat unsuspecting restaurant but my goodness they know what they're doing. Brunch on Memorial Day with a friend bringing a toddler could easily be a recipe for disaster and instead...it rocked. The hosts were super polite, efficient, and accommodating. There was a high chair, a bowl of sliced bananas and books and toys waiting at the table for the kiddo. Our server, Rex, was the absolute coolest and a champ for both little ones and adults. Rex recommended the corned beef hash, claiming it was the best in Chicago. REX DID NOT LIE. Probably the best corned beef hash I've ever had ANYWHERE (and I get it often bc it is often a solid GF option at brunch joints). Will absolutely be returning to Tweet - best brunch in Chicago. Highly recommend!
