Detour Dallas
Detour Dallas is praised for its engaging and well-organized tours, particularly for group events, with staff being described as fantastic and accommodating. However, a significant number of reviews for the golf course express strong dissatisfaction with its poor condition, citing dead fairways, damaged bunkers, and overall lack of maintenance, which many feel is not worth the high price.

Corporate team of about 15 of us did the Stockyards Tour of Fort Worth. The challenges were engaging and the guides were very knowledgeable about the area. Our group had a blast and there were great team building opportunities. Would recommend.
DFW Detours did such a great job showing us around the Fort Worth Stockyards and made my first time there super memorable! Elizabeth was great to work with—everything went so smoothly, and they had super fun activities set up for everyone. The tour guide also had great energy and it was super interesting hearing about the history of the stockyards. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a fun way to spend an afternoon out with a group!
DFW Detours truly knows how to showcase the beauty of Texas. The Fort Worth tour was thoughtfully planned from start to finish and made the entire experience feel seamless and special. Elizabeth was an incredible host, so warm, welcoming, and genuinely sweet. She made everyone feel comfortable and taken care of. Highly recommend this tour if you want a beautiful, well curated experience of Fort Worth. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My DFW Detours experience was part of a conference last week. It was such a great time! We learned a lot about Fort Worth’s history, took many photos, learned to rope (!) and two-step! I don’t usually opt for tours, but I’m glad I did this one.
As a corporate event planner I have used Detours many times over the years in San Antonio and Austin. I finally had the chance to work with them in DFW and as usual they were incredible! Elizabeth is amazing to work with and curated a tour and schedule for my group. We ended up having an intimate tour or the Stock Yards where our guide gave us history, recommendations, and shared wonderful stories! They will continue to be my go to for tours in Texas!
I hired Detour for my 2026 Manager Training Conference, and they were the TALK OF THE SHOW. People loved the customization and the ability to create a memory to walk away with. Staff was great -- you wont regret booking them for your next event.
I’ve worked with the team behind Detours many times for large group outings, and they are fantastic. Most recently we organized a team event for about 50 people and they handled everything seamlessly. Our group did multiple tours—including a presidential history tour, a city tour, and an art district experience—and every single one was engaging, well organized, and genuinely fun. What I appreciate most is how easy they make it. Coordinating logistics for a big group could be stressful, but they took care of all the details and kept everything running smoothly. The guides were knowledgeable, energetic, and brought the stories of the city to life in a way that kept everyone interested. If you’re planning a corporate outing, team event, or group experience in the Dallas area, I highly recommend DFW Detours. They make it effortless and memorable.
