Kimpton Pittman Hotel Dallas

Couldn’t wait to leave. Such a shame, as I think the property is well designed but it truly feels like nobody cares. Cleanliness is poor, as other reviews have said, and it feels like not a single person working there takes pride in the hotel. We were greeted by the most chaotic evening valet service, and when we walked inside to check-in, it felt like nobody wanted us there. Breakfast was the same story—I honestly don’t get the positive reviews for this place. Such a strange experience and apathetic team. I would never stay here again.

The room was spacious. The room was not super clean when we checked in: hair on shampoo bottle and tub, dirty bedcover. The room location was super noisy until 2AM. Breakfast was very bland.

Excellent stay at The Kimpton Pittman Hotel. The hotel combines modern luxury with historic charm in a way that creates a unique and memorable experience. The property was spotless, stylish, and very well maintained from the moment we arrived. The room was spacious, quiet, and beautifully designed with comfortable bedding and thoughtful details throughout. The staff members were friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming during the entire stay. I also appreciated the relaxing atmosphere in the lobby and outdoor areas, which made the hotel feel both upscale and comfortable. The location in Deep Ellum was perfect for exploring nearby restaurants, music venues, and local attractions. Everything throughout the property felt organized and professionally

Upscale hotel within walking distance to Trees, and many other bars and clubs in the Deep Ellum area. Outstanding service with free beer and/or cocktails upon checking in (or out). Decent food in the bar/restaurant on-site as well. Super high ceilings in the rooms. Very comfortable beds.

EDIT: 3 weeks later, the hotel has FINALLY responded to my inquiry and refunded the charges. Absolutely terrible customer service all around, and a complete waste of so much time dealing with all this nonsense. ——— WARNING: Take pictures of everything at the minibar/fridge before you check out. While we enjoyed our stay at the hotel itself, we later found we were charged over $100 in hotel minibar items that we did not consume at all. The only item we took was one package of dried mangoes (to use up our $10 minibar credit) but somehow discovered they charged us for a ton of snacks and drinks! Had we known this would happen, we would have never accepted the $10 minibar credit. ADDITIONALLY, we were charged over $300 for our stay when we booked using our free night! Absolutely appalled by the service this hotel has shown. Currently disputing these charges with the hotel, but this was a very disappointing experience as a Platinum Ambassador from a supposed premium hotel brand. Will not be returning.

I feel this hotels rating is dependent on what your intentions are for your visit. If your visit is all about being downtown, and being in walking distance for entertainment and restaurants. Then this hotel is easily a 5 star rating. For me this hotel is a 3 star, why is that? Well I do like the fact entertainment, including restaurants are all within walking distance. But I also like driving out and exploring the city and neighboring areas. After a long day of being out, I want to come back and have access to a mini fridge and microwave. Well that’s not available here. The sensory activated mini fridge that is in your room is stocked full of drinks including alcoholic drinks for a hefty price. I suggest you don’t touch any of those items because, you will be charged at the end of your stay. I also can’t justify paying $55 for parking for day. You’re already spending a good amount for the hotel, and to add parking fee’s on top of that is just criminal. Now I do like some things about this hotel other than the location. I like how clean and comfortable the hotel rooms and lobby are. I like the fact the customer service was amazing. I also like the fact there’s a restaurant onsite, that offers room service up to 9pm. So the question is what is the reason for your trip?

Nice hotel, but overpriced for what you get. You have to leave a key card in a slot by the door to turn the lights on. I assume this is to save electricity, however, the entire hotel has the AC blasting at 66 degrees in the hallways, which wastes hundreds of times the amount of energy compared to leaving a few lights on. They charge a "guest amenity fee" on top of it, and you get taxed on that fee as well. No on-site parking and ridiculous high priced valet is another reason I won't be staying here again.

Had a great single night here. For the price, this was a great place to stay! Connected restaurant/bar, rooms were very clean, and service was excellent. Would 100% come stay here again next time I venture over to the Deep Ellum area.
