My husband and I stayed here 2 separate nights, both coming and going to Cape Cod. Convenient halfway point between Philadelphia and the Cape. It is so very quaint and a bit artsy- Bohemian. I don't think it would be great for a long stay - no closets or drawers. Nice little coffee bar on the first floor. We were off season so it was very quiet. There is a nice little bar/restaurant attached to the hotel.

This is an absolutely beautiful spot! The hotel is perfectly appointed, the location is superb. We loved our room with a balcony overlooking the ocean. The little pub is great and we also loved Reilly‘s restaurant which is nearby. We had a beautiful time here.

I often host authors of children and young adult literature for events in Southern Connecticut. For a change of pace, I selected The Surfside Hotel for an overnight venue. It was a huge success, as its low-key location, balcony views of the Long Island Sound, and small beach were a perfect retreat. They reported feeling blessed they had a few nights in such a location.

From the moment we booked our room until after we checked out our experience with Surfside was wonderful. After booking online we received a confirmation email, and an email a few days before our arrival. We received a txt the day of our arrival and confirmation our room was ready for check-in (ahead of 4pm, which was perfect for our schedule). Check-in was easy and fast. When we entered our king bed 2nd floor balcony room we found it clean with a refreshing, calming scent. When opening the curtains to our balcony, the view was amazing with beach chairs/loungers setup for relaxation. (just like the pictures on the website). A great room to fall asleep(comfy bedding)/wake up listening to the waves. We had drinks / apps at Riley's by the Sea and then dinner at Little Pub. In the am we enjoyed a cup of coffee from downstairs, sitting on the balcony, wearing the provided comfy robes. Before checking out we took the beach cruiser bikes for a ride along the shore, where we ate breakfast at the Drowsy Whaler overlooking the golf course. Overall an excellent stay. Looking forward to our return one day.

My stay at the Surfside was amazing. I only stayed for a day but that day was truly everything I needed for a little staycation. Thr location was wonderful as well as the staff. The room was nice and clean. The view of the beach added the cherry on the top. The restaurant attached to the hotel has great food and service. 10/10 experience.
