First time coming to this hotel and is great for family time , I love that the rooms have ocean view , what kind of disappointed me was the rooms i think they do need a little touch up . Fun fact the bar that’s located inside the pool stays open until 2am. I’ll definitely come back.

Hotel is older but has alot of new upgrades. We stayed on the 14th floor and had beautiful view all over Galveston. Grotto and The Steakhouse are both worth 5 stars. The rooms are a little pricey on thr weekend at $560 ea. The pool area is beautiful but they need to clean it maybe twice a day due to all the sunscreen that washes off people. All is all, had a great time with the family.

The grounds and lobby are gorgeous. The staff is so friendly. Once you enter your room the luxury ends. The rooms are terrible. I was stunned at the condition of the room. The bed was so uncomfortable. The doors slammed so hard from the next rooms that I jumped out of bed at 2am and again at 3am. The view from the room is beautiful. I attached a few pictures of the room just so you can get an idea

Great customer service. Rooms were dated. Restrooms were small. Very stuffy. Very little ventilation and very old vents. Very little to do. Swim up bar was nice. Pool was nice. The spa was amazing. Grotto was amazing. The Steakhouse was amazing but the resort and rooms need more options and needs to be updated.

can’t recommend staying here. The rooms are dated and the cleanliness was a real problem — I had to be moved twice during my stay. The common areas are attractive and the staff were consistently friendly, but the rooms themselves don’t hold up to a four-star standard, or honestly even a three-star one. For what they charge per night, the value simply isn’t there. I’d suggest Hotel Grand Galvez instead — comparable pricing, recently renovated, and noticeably cleaner.
