We spent an amazing weekend at this hotel celebrating our baby Noah’s birthday, and we were absolutely delighted with our experience. 💙🎂 Everything was wonderful from the moment we arrived. We loved the pool, the beautiful views, the facilities, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel. 🌊✨ It was the perfect place to relax, enjoy some family time, and celebrate such a special moment for us. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the service was excellent. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and made beautiful memories that we will always cherish. We would definitely stay here again. We absolutely loved everything and highly recommend it! ❤️

Stop me if you’ve heard this before. I was double charged or at least the best anyone can figure is Hilton attempted to charge my card an extra $400 for “taxes” on a $600 reservation. It was reported as fraud to my credit card and my card was locked out and replacement sent. The “manager” refused to let us back into our room, THAT WAS FULLY PAID FOR, because he wanted to apologize and attempt to call our bank and ask for the cancellation to be reversed.. My wife and son, and myself for that matter, were exhausted from being out in the sun all day and upon arriving back at the hotel, the elevators were broken, so they walked up 4 floors of stairs to discover the room was locked out from us and had to return to the lobby. It’s unbelievable they forced my son and wife to stand there while this manager continued to argue about calling my bank and refusing to give us a key so at least my wife and son could go relax on our FULLY PAID FOR ROOM!!! These people act all fancy but don’t have any kind of reasonable knowledge of how cancelled fraudulent charged cards policies work and have no sense of hospitality by allowing an obvious sun burnt child stand exhaustively next to the counter while you argue about trying to do something impossible. It’s also the third time I’ve had this phantom double card issue cause my card to be cancelled and all at different locations. Hilton is not on my visit ever again list, I can promise you that. The audacity to behave like that is so far outside the realm of hospitality.

My coworker and I checked into the Hilton Resort in Galveston around 4:30 PM on Tuesday, September 18th. After checking in, we went out to eat and did not go up to our rooms until around 9:30 PM. When I got to my room, everything was fine. However, my coworker came to get me shortly afterward because his room had not been cleaned after the previous guests checked out. The room was clearly not ready for a new guest. I gave my coworker my room and went back downstairs to explain the situation to the front desk. The front desk moved me to another room and told me they would provide a breakfast voucher for the following morning. I explained that I would be leaving before breakfast was served, so the voucher would not benefit me. I was told that I could speak with a manager the following morning. On top of the room issue, my coworker’s replacement room had a dog barking for approximately an hour and a half. He eventually had to contact the front desk to complain about the noise. After checking out the next morning, I received a call from the hotel around 8:15 AM and was told that a manager would contact me between 9:30 AM and noon. Around 11:30 AM, I called the hotel myself trying to reach the manager. After multiple attempts to get through to the front desk, I was told the manager would not arrive until 1:30 PM. I asked if I could speak with someone else in a management position, and I was eventually transferred to an assistant manager. The assistant manager offered 10% off both rooms, but I was disconnected before everything could be discussed and finalized. I tried calling the hotel back several times and was unable to get anyone on the phone. At that point, I contacted Hilton corporate because I was frustrated with trying to get the hotel to address the situation directly. Corporate ultimately transferred me back to the hotel manager, even though I had specifically explained that I was trying to resolve the issue through corporate because I had already had difficulty getting a response from the hotel. The hotel manager told me that the room had been "upgraded," but the room was essentially the same type of room I had already been in, just on a higher floor. That did not address the actual problems I experienced. I was looking for reasonable compensation for the problems during my stay, especially considering that one of the rooms had not even been cleaned when my coworker checked in. I was also told I would receive a 10% discount on both rooms, but I still have not received that discount. The biggest issue for me is not just that there was a mistake with the room. Mistakes happen. The problem is how difficult it was to get the hotel to take responsibility and provide a clear resolution afterward. For the price you pay to stay at a Hilton resort, I expected much better service, communication, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, this experience fell well below those expectations.
