I recently stayed at the Spark by Hilton Garland Dallas East, and while the hotel itself provided a place to sleep, the true star of the experience was the majestic Jack in the Box visible from my room. Every morning I awoke to a breathtaking panorama of modern American architecture: a parking lot, a roadway, and the glowing beacon of a Jack in the Box. Some hotels offer ocean views. Others offer mountain views. Spark boldly offers a front-row seat to the culinary lighthouse that is Jack in the Box. The room was comfortable enough, but honestly, it was hard to focus on the accommodations when such a captivating landmark stood just beyond the window. As the sun set over Dallas, the Jack in the Box sign transformed into a radiant monument of hope, reminding weary travelers that curly fries were never more than a short walk away. The hotel’s location is advertised as convenient to many Dallas attractions, but none compared to watching the steady flow of humanity entering and exiting Jack in the Box. It was like observing a nature documentary, except the migration patterns ended with tacos and jumbo jacks. At one point I considered closing the curtains, but why would I deny myself one of Texas’s finest urban vistas? The Jack in the Box became my compass, my muse, and arguably my closest travel companion during the stay. The complimentary breakfast at the hotel was appreciated, but it had the unfortunate challenge of competing with the magnificent view of breakfast alternatives directly outside my window. Every bite came with the silent question: “Should I have just gone to Jack in the Box?” In conclusion, if you’ve ever dreamed of spending a weekend gazing upon a fast-food icon while occasionally using a hotel room between viewings, Spark delivers. I came for the lodging, but I left with memories of a Jack in the Box that will remain with me forever.
I spent four nights here a couple of weeks ago and had a genuinely great stay. My room (Room 124) was spotless and smelled amazing the moment I walked in. I loved the layout—it was right near the exit and the laundry facilities, tucked away at the end with only three other rooms nearby, making it feel very private. Parking was also excellent and never an issue. A massive shoutout to Aid at the front desk ZAID! He was an absolute pleasure to talk to every day, incredibly helpful, and truly made my visit memorable. There were only two downsides to note. First, the guest room doors slam incredibly hard. One morning I actually had a bad headache and noticed that within a two-hour window, I counted eight doors slamming. Interestingly, the heavy exit doors catch themselves and close silently, so management should look into applying that same mechanism to the room doors to give guests some peace. Second, on my final day, I spotted a baby roach on a towel in the bathroom. Since I was already checking out, it didn’t ruin my stay, but it’s worth noting. The bathroom foundation has a few cracks where they might be getting in, so a little extra pest control and maintenance would easily solve this.
Nice place. The sole elevator can be busy. Continental breakfast only, but Jack in the Box is right out the door.
Really impressed with this hotel. For the price I didn't expect much, but the room is clean with everything you need. We travel to Dallas frequently and this is our new go to when needing a room for the night, or a few days.
The hotel is new, which means the beds, plumbing, carpets, pillows, and everything is new. Thats what most people have complaints online about for other places anyway. Grab and go handful of things but not the buffet breakfast most places have. Its right off the highway and next to fast food if needed.
Horrible hotel. We stayed here during my partners work trip out of town from the 15-24th. They charged us 600 something for the first I believe 4-5 nights on my partners card the guy told us it's gonna be pending it will fall off then at the end of our stay we will be charged. It did fall off but when we left they charged us again. We thought everything was good it had been paid. Clearly not money kept going in and out like they kept putting pending charges and then retaking it (we had plenty of money in the bank for them just to charge us the first time when we left as the guy stated it would be) but that's clearly not how it went. Then they charge the card 1104 dollars for the whole stay mind u we paid with two separate cards so the whole stay shouldn't have been on only one card which they did with no authorization and on top of the 1104 they charged another PENDING charge which took the money out of my partners bank for 600 dollars. The full balance of the stay was paid so not sure why were getting charged another 600 on top of what were paying. Then they charged the second card 104 dollars so over 700 dollars extra is what's been pending for a couple days. DO NOT COME HERE. I've tried to call back twice and have spoken to different people first the lady was trying to argue with me that she didn't see any balance paid which then I had to email her over the charges and bank statement and she told me oh well u can just dispute the charge with ur bank which is completely insane to me due to the fact that y'all just want people to come out of money and wait to be reimbursed on y'all mistakes… then she proceeds to tell me that it was a different spark location that charged us… like ma'am what? I asked her what was the balance she told me the exact amount that was charged.. We didn't stay anywhere else the whole time we were in Dallas we stayed here this hotel is a joke. Don't stay here we have been back in Houston for almost a week now and there still taking money (unauthorized) from our cards when the balance has been paid.
