Great place to stay. We stayed in 301. Very relaxing, private entrance. Owners are very nice and helped us out with a travel situation. Location is great for access to town by foot. Private parking or parking on street, which was convenient. We were able to walk to the railroad for the railroad bikes which was nice. It was very relaxing to have a nice dinner in the evenings with the view from the room. All of the furniture is high quality. The TV is LG with a Roku, which was great for us - was able to watch F1. You can see the trains across the river which was a neat perspective.

We had an exceptional experience working with Chris and Laura using Horsefeathers Hotel as our primary accommodation for our extended wedding weekend. We booked all of the units, which allowed for our immediately family to stay together while still having private space. The configuration of the property allowed us to host an intimate rehearsal dinner for 14 people in The Summit with a private chef as well as our larger welcome reception in the backyard for all our wedding guests with the adjoining city park next door. The rooms are luxurious, clean, and thoughtfully designed. Chris and Laura were proactive and responsive in their communication and genuinely helpful with local recommendations and accommodating all of our wedding-related needs. Cannot recommend Horsefeathers enough!

Second time guest to this jewel and best kept secret for lodging in Hood River. Clean, well appointed and easy location makes this our new “go to” for HR.

Upscale & immaculate accommodations in 4 separate condo-style units, each with a unique name. The “Retreat” is nothing short of spectacular and “Robustly Elegant” with a perfect river & gorge facing private deck and patio table & chairs. The Retreat’s massive original beams are truly something to behold. Finishes are stunning, yet have an old-world vibe, reminiscent of a European stone inn, but with high-end, classy finishes and elite appliances. We have fond memories of this space when it was formerly a quaint micro brewery; now we’re staying in the converted brew works that is ideally located in the heart of Hood River. If you’re not familiar with this town, you will be equally blown away by the sensational geology and twin volcanos separated by the Gorge itself. The owners are deserving of world-class design and construction awards and for this phenomenal lodge. Combined with their concierge level of service, Horsefeathers is a true gem.

My family and I stayed at the Horsefeathers Hotel this past weekend as our headquarters for my wedding weekend. Every aspect of the stay was perfect! The initial pull to this hotel was its location in downtown hood river, ample space for my family and our in-laws as well a the ability to cook our own food and use the kitchen space leading up to the wedding. These aspects were all perfect but what made it above and beyond is the service we got from Chris and his wife. They made sure we had everything we needed, accommodated an early check in and late check out and were readily available when we had any questions. The Horsefeathers is a great gathering space and undoubtedly helped our weekend go smoothly and facilitated a space to spend time with family. I highly recommend staying here, especially if you are looking to do a buyout for a large family or group.

Loved our stay in condo 101 as many others have written. We booked very last minute as we had a surprise 2 days of free time and were lucky that it was open as it seems to book out decently. Check-in was through keypad and totally seamless, it's more of an airbnb vs hotel (no front counter or shared spaces) but their guest services was very responsive and even offered to restock things for us after our first day. Room was a large studio with the most comfortably amazing king bed, the kitchen appliances were SO new and lovely, personally loved the ice machine as well. Loved our little deck, location is perfect right walking distance to everything downtown. The condo had these beautiful stone walls as well. We stayed during a heat wave so the functioning AC was so needed and important made our stay so comfortable. Streaming devices on the TV were perfect for cozy movie nights. It really felt very boutique and was such a comfortable stay. It's true you can hear footsteps above but it was really not that common or loud. Honestly really looking forward to coming back in the winter because I can just imagine how cozy it'll be.

we LOVED our experience at Horsefeathers! We actually rented out the entire building for our out-of-town wedding to use it as a home base for friends and family throughout the weekend. Each of the rooms are BEAUTIFUL and spacious in their own right. Chris and his team were communicative, available and more than helpful! We can't wait to come back and visit!

Location was very convenient to walking around town, easily wandering for food and down to the waterfront. We slept well (solid bed and blackout curtains) and the setup for the shower was great. Everything was clean and well-kept, and the instructions to get in were very straight-forward. It was set up to easily stay for a longer trip with a very well-sized kitchen--stove, sink and fridge. Plus, Chris went above and beyond to help me after a silly mistake I made. We'd definitely come back and recommend them to friends.

This was our favorite place we have ever stayed in Hood River! We came up in May 2025 for our wedding week and it was the perfect place to stay. It is central to everything, has amazing views and the place was spotless! Our hosts were so accommodating and communicative. Plus, they have free parking for the hotel and you can walk everywhere which makes the trip sooo much easier! We are 100% coming back next summer to stay here again!

Beautiful hotel- that doesn't feel like a hotel, with amazing views of an adorable town. If I could rate this place higher, I would. The kitchen was gorgeous, adequately stocked and central to the top floor. The fireplace was easy to use and warmed up quick, making our rainy evening view, even better. The front patio area has a lovely gas fire pit, with a separate seating area surrounded by lush greenery. The bed was a bit firm, but welcoming, and the linens are very high end. I have to mention how surprisingly potable the tap water is! We are planning our next visit and stay, because Horsefeathers feels like a place to come back to. To make a part of our adventures. 11/10 would recommend.

We loved our stay and will be back! The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the location is wonderful and the kitchen is well equipped. We brought our dogs and the host even provided a little doggie welcome kit!
