We loved everything about our stay at the Hudson Mariner. The historic building was charming and our room was spectacular with its modern appointments, while, at the same time, we could open a door to a lovely old porch with rocking chairs to sit in the evening. Every detail of what we might need was present. Since there is no on site front desk, we would receive daily calls asking if we needed anything. Our experience in that space was the absolute best.
The day prior to checking in we were sent a message asking us to agree to a pet policy before check in instructions were sent. We didn't see this message until we were trying to check in so no check in instructions were sent. When we arrived and saw this we tried to sms and call the number provided in the booking. No one answered (even though it was just within their stated operating hours). When we called their urgent emergency after-hours number no one answered. We left a message and no one called back. We eventually located a number of a different hotel owned by the same company and had to make several calls to them before they finally got us in touch with the after hours person. This person was unable to contact their manager to provide us access but eventually and thankfully made the decision to give us the access code regardless. By this point it was 8.30-9pm at night and we were not sure we had somewhere to stay. Their poor communication and organisaiton made it an uneccessarily stressful night.
We loved our stay at the Hudson Mariner! The room was spacious with thoughtful touches, the hotel itself was relatively quiet, and when we had a snag, the staff was responsive. Would stay there again.
The Hudson Mariner was our base for this first-time visit to the area. We chose well ! Gorgeous house, quiet and convenient location, very good communication regarding check-in, etc.
I really enjoyed this hotel. It was super easy to check in and out. The hotel provided lots of useful information about the area including details about the parking that turned out to be quite important. The room was beautiful and well equipped with faux fireplace, radiant floor heating in the bathroom, and high ceilings that gave me the impression I was staying as a family guest instead of an overnight patron. Comfortable bed and plenty of space with good lighting. Convenient to access the downtown by foot. Great experience overall and a fair price.
We had a great experience staying here. The location was close to restaurants, the train station, and great coffee shops. The room was very clean. The bed very comfortable. Price was fair. Highly recommend.
