Rivertown Lodge
Visitors frequently praise the attentive and kind staff, comfortable rooms, and the hotel's great location on Warren Street. However, some guests have complained about paper-thin walls allowing noise from neighboring rooms and the parking lot, as well as issues with malfunctioning amenities and pests.

An absolutely lovely stay with my family + 2 Samoyed’s over Mother’s Day weekend ‘26. Attentive kind staff, clean and comfortable rooms, love for our pups and the plushest bath towels by Brooklinen (*instantly adds to cat) evaaaaa! Checkout Bodhi Spa down Warren and ask for Davis for the best massage of your life. I will definitely stay here again next time we are in Hudson!
Wonderful hotel. Will definitely stay there again.
This hotel is in a great location, right on Warren Street. However, we originally wanted to stay at the Pocketbook hotel but it was twice the cost of Rivertown Lodge, but I should’ve known that you get what you pay for. The rooms all face the parking lot and have paper thin walls. You can hear people coming and going all night long, watching TV, and having conversations. If you want a well rested stay, I would advise staying elsewhere. We did elect to spend more on a corner room, but a corner room means an interior corner room, which means you end up being placed in between two hallways to make the noise situation even worse. If you have already booked your stay here and cannot get a refund, I would also highly suggest brining your own toiletries as the ones provided in the shower away they’re from a local Hudson shop, but is very low quality and leaves residue in your hair.
Excellent service - we are repatriation customers and Michael and the staff certainly provide repeatable outstanding service.
This hotel was highly recommended to me, so I was excited to book 2 rooms there. First of all we were greeted by a very unfriendly person at the front desk, but that was OK. I heard it was so good. One of the TVs was not working and nobody would fix it. A minor inconvenience. But the bugs that infested both rooms was beyond what I could stay with. Sorry, but I would never go back to this hotel. When I told the front desk there were bugs, they shrugged it off. I was
I have stayed at Rivertown Lodge many times over the years and have always enjoyed my stay but it’s an experience my daughter had a few days ago that is prompting me to leave this review. My daughter is in 12th grade and was just finishing up a one week internship in the area. She and her two classmates got to Hudson several hours before their train was due to depart back to the city. They wanted to explore Hudson and have some dinner, but they didn’t know what to do with their bags! They went to The Wick (where we had stayed just 4 days earlier), but were turned away when they asked if they could park their bags for a couple of hours. Dismayed, they walked to the opposite end of Warren street with their stuff but were too shy to ask anyone else. I told them to check with Rivertown Lodge and the worst that could happen was they’d say no. They finally worked up enough courage, and the answer was yes, of course we can help you out. It’s been a few days now and she’s just telling me more details of this exchange and I’m honestly so impressed and appreciative to whoever was working the front desk last Friday. I should have left a review before, as the staff and management of Rivertown Lodge has always treated me graciously. With courtesy and generosity being traits in steep decline these days, it’s nice to see Rivertown Lodge upholding this class act. Thank you a million times over for extending this small kindness to my daughter and her classmates. It means more than you know. You have my business from here on out.
I had to change my Hudson accommodations at the last second and the staff at Rivertown Lodge could not have been more helpful and welcoming. My room was comfortable, clean and quiet and the common area with wood burning stoves and coffee/tea available all day was perfect during my winter stay.
