What reviewers say

Visitors frequently praise the hotel's beautiful atmosphere, modern design, and welcoming staff, with specific mentions of Moriah and Surayya at the front desk. However, a significant recurring complaint is the extreme lack of soundproofing, making it difficult to sleep due to noise from neighboring rooms and plumbing. Some also noted issues with the cleanliness and upkeep of the bath areas.

Stopped in and got the five dollar tour. Midtown ballroom looks fantastic. The bar is inviting. Can't wait to taste the food.

Mariya is #1, very helpful anytime I ran into her at the desk.

Disappointing and the hotel is just not fit for purpose yet. I had high hopes given the team behind pocketbook and the $500 a night charge, and genuinely arrived believing it would deliver but the rooms are essentially separated by flex walls: you can hear every conversation, footstep and rolling suitcase by your neighbor. I arrived to the room wanting a shower but there seemed to only be cold water - maintenance swiftly came and informed me the temp was reversed (hot means cold and vice versa) and that they were fixing it next week… i searched for the WiFi password only to read in the manual the front desk team will verbally share this at check in, but they didn’t. so off I went back to the desk to ask after already getting settled. Generally the staff are young and do not understand solution orientated service, when I arrived to the baths during a busy time she bluntly said “we’re full”. I enquired if it’s a one in one out policy, she stated “yeah but I haven’t been counting”… I visited the baths the next morning at 9am where they had zero towels and the steam room wasn’t turned on until 9.30. There is a kettle with nice teabags but only glassware that’s too hot to hold… the details and consideration across this place are lacking. It’s a weird feeling being in a beautiful place where you quickly realize nothing really functions. I hope it improves because in its current state, it’s essentially a SoHo House (derogatory)

While we wanted to love this place, unfortunately the lack of sound insulation makes it completely not worth it. Paired with the bright neon sign in the parking lot across from our window in the room, it felt like staying at a poorly insulated motel. We could hear word for word the whole conversation of the room next to us even when it was clear they were trying to talk quietly. And worse at midnight when people came in loudly and were singing down the hallway we heard that too :/ The spa however and the public spaces are beautiful. Would recommend for a drink or to come for the day spa, but definitely many many better places to stay in Hudson. As another reviewer said, I was itching to come home ASAP and considered leaving a night early. Hopefully they work on the sound because as is you couldn’t pay me to stay here again!
