Indy Pride 2027

<p>Indy Pride takes over Military Park downtown every June. The festival draws more than 50,000 people to the park's open grounds for a full day of live music on multiple stages, plus community groups and vendors. It's a real party, and a surprise for a state as conservative as Indiana. But Indianapolis has built a strong queer community.</p>

<p>Military Park is right next to the Indiana War Memorial. You can walk there from downtown hotels, the convention center, and the city's entertainment zones. That central location helps explain the big crowds.</p>

<p>Indy Pride keeps getting bigger as Indianapolis's LGBTQ+ community becomes more visible. People come from all over Indiana, especially from smaller towns where Pride might not exist, or isn't as welcoming. They even come from neighboring states.</p>

<p>The June timing follows the Indy 500 weekend in late May. It makes for a busy late spring and early summer in Indianapolis. Talbott Street and other Indianapolis gay bars host official and unofficial Pride events all weekend.</p>

<p>If you're looking for a Midwest Pride trip, Indianapolis in June is a good bet. It's a big, warm festival in a city that's much more interesting than most people think.</p>
