About this place Metro

Metro has been on Massachusetts Avenue since New Year's Eve 1990. Its own site calls it a 21+ restaurant, bar and nightclub: pub food, a dance floor, a fenced patio, weekly karaoke and DJs, with drag nights on the calendar too. The bar changed hands when Bill Pritt, owner of the sushi restaurant FortyFive Degrees, bought it and shortened the name to plain Metro; he told the Indianapolis Business Journal he had no plans to change its place in LGBTQ nightlife. Google lists 5pm to 1am on weekdays, a 2pm start at weekends, and 3am closing on Friday and Saturday. Reviews average 3.9.

Not really a gay bar anymore, more ghetto than usual, lots of straight couples now, nothing wrong with that for business, just not the same as it used to be as a gay setting, one other thing to add, I have read hundreds of reviews on here and the owner always has a smart remark to say to people's concerns or problems they encountered while visiting, or doesn't care at all what people had problems with, that doesn't look good as a owner and a great way to put yourself out of business quickly because the more people who don't come back to do business with you and bad word goes around to everyone, you eventually start running out of people to come to your business 😆 lol

The horrible bartender Chris gave me and my group of friends an attitude and horrible service upon entry. I was utterly appalled. So much so that I didn’t order any food and had to go elsewhere. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone dead or alive. Do better.
