About this place Club Indianapolis

Club Indianapolis on North Blackford Street is the primary gay sauna in Indianapolis, operating near the downtown core and serving the city's gay male community and the substantial number of male visitors who come to Indianapolis for conventions, sporting events, and LGBTQ+ occasions including Indy Pride and Indiana Black Pride. The facility provides the full bathhouse infrastructure: private rooms for rental, lockers, steam room, common areas, and the extended operating hours that the gay sauna format requires. The Blackford Street location is close to IUPUI (Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis), which contributes to the clientele's age diversity, and accessible from both the downtown hotels and the near-north residential neighbourhoods where much of Indianapolis's gay male population lives. The facility has been renovated over the years and operates at a standard appropriate for Indiana's largest city. For gay male visitors to Indianapolis, Club Indianapolis is the consistent answer for the sauna experience.

Not sure who the Angelo guy thinks he is , but I won’t be returning. His nice nasty attitude is off putting to say the least and I was told to get the sheets off my bed or I wouldn’t get my id, as if I work for him.

.Great spot, especially when the pool is open. It’s a shame there’s no hot tub, as that would really complete the experience. The upstairs darkroom is a solid addition and definitely adds something extra 👌. It’s never been overly busy during the day in my experience, though I haven’t made it in on a weekend night yet

It's an average bathhouse. A little dated, a little unfinished around the edges, and a little in need of some rigor in a few respects but overall, it is a nice place to relax for a few hours, soak in the sun, dip in the pool, take a steam bath, sauna, or cylindrical meaty appendage with the requisite consent expressed, not implied. The staff is much nicer than in years past. Turns out no matter how rotten an apple, once removed, the bunch will thrive. There've been some updates such as moving features, adding play areas, and a price increase to cover the cost of living increases however, it would be nice to see an improvement to the following: 1. The video system 2. The rooms decor 3. The overall floorplan One thing they excel at and need to continue is cleanliness. While dated, the facility is impeccably clean and all fixtures are in working order. Adding a hot tub back would be a welcome addition, as well as better utilization of space such as the large room in the back, the old dry sauna, the front area, and the central area of the recently added playspace upstairs. I will say that I tend to have a good time here no matter when I go. Bathhouses used to be ground zero for organizing, education, and networking. It's an unexpected added bonus that we are beginning to move away from the app based haze we have attempted to navigate for the past 25 years and back to interpersonal connections again. Those of us who fall into the melenilal or later generations appreciate this small reprieve we've been given as the rest of the generations younger than us learn about the benefits of touching grass. With prep and doxy, those of us who lived through the Big A can finally let our hair down agan. Now if we could just do something about the visibilty issue. Welcome back to the living, my brethren. Enjoy the tubs.
