Hyatt Regency Jacksonville

I only visited for the facilities, but I did go to the gift shop and the young lady was very helpful and pleasant. Because of the treatment, I will be going back to shop for items I found that were reasonably priced.

Hotel itself was nice. I was checking in around 330 (arrived a bit early in town) and my check-in was at 4. Was told I’d have to pay for a “room upgrade” of $50 per day (I was there for 4 days for a conference). I agreed as long as I could pay with my personal card and that it would not be charged to my company card on file. Yancy, who was checking me in had a very unpleasant attitude and was the one who told me I’d had to pay extra or wait to check in. It was weird to me that others who were at the very same conference were checking in at the same exact time (and after me) and did not have to pay this “upgrade”. He informed me to speak to whomever I check out with to make sure I pay for my “upgrade” separately. Upon checking out, I had Yancy again. He informed me I had a water charged to my room (weird because I brought my own small case of water for that exact instance). I also stated I needed the adjusted rate for parking for the conference (which he did not end up adjusting and I had to have my office fix) and reminded him I needed to pay for the “upgrade” separately with my personal card and not the card on file. He instructed me to insert my card for the “upgrade” and a few seconds later a receipt was printed. Low and behold, he charged the card on file that was my work card and not the personal card which I even inserted upon request. Now dealing with the fallout because an employee cannot do their job. Will not be returning which is unfortunate as someone who frequents the area and has stayed at this hotel previously and enjoyed that previous experience.

Comfortable rooms, very well kept property.

So the hotel itself is nice. Very clea lobby and hallways and common areas. The hotel has lots of amenities and a good selection of restaurants inside. We're they fall short is thier rooms. The room was clean. We had a issue with the bathroom sink with the water not draining. Also the TV in the room was out dated and could have been up dated to a newer model and alot bigger. The real issue was with the bed. The bed and the pillows and sheets were just horrible. Not comfortable at all. And the sheets were a step up from plastic.

They over charged my card for the hold I never used it they charged 100 and 82.00 that was manually entered. I have yet to receive a refund they had no explanation why the extra charge. I checked out 3 days ago. I also went to the front desk 4 days ago and no one could explain why the hold. Watch your bank account!

Attended a work conference this week and had a wonderful time!! I have to thank Bobby Ross as well! He was so accommodating to every need my colleagues and I had! Definitely looking forward to coming back!
