great location. small boutique hotel. we did not receive hotel's door code to enter; we didn't know your room number and entry code also are sent. hence, we were sooo confused as they dont have front desk or easily available staff. the ac in the room would make random sounds which was a bit distracting especially at night. the best park for me was the bed mattress-firm, great for my back. everything was clean. there was no TV in the room.
The room was very nice and accommodating. We enjoyed the clawfoot tub. The lounge was nice but neither of us enjoyed our drinks. Would definitely stay here again!
Here are the pros and cons of this place as I see them: Pros: *The hotel is more affordable than some other options in the area. *It’s within walking distance of the Kauffman Center and a streetcar stop. *The room has some nice touches, like a white noise machine. *There weren't any conditions that left me feeling unsafe. Cons: *The room lacks a lot of what conventional hotel rooms include, such as a place to hang clothes. If you’re traveling light you should be fine. *The walls are thin and the floors are creaky. You will be very aware of what other guests are doing, and they'll be very aware of what you're doing. In retrospect I'm glad I was there on a less busy day with no parties. *The towels left me covered in white lint. *The power went out at night. I don’t know how much responsibility the hotel had for that, but they did choose to not reach out to guests about it until the outage had already been going for ten hours.
Great room and amenities with an incredible location! Would recommend to anybody!
This place is DOPE! We met some really cool people, the facilities are comfortable & stylish and the rooftop courtyard was fantastic. Will definitely stay here next time we’re in KC!
We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! The vibes were excellent and exactly what we were looking for. I did not feel like the noise was unmanageable, especially with the sound machine that they provide in the room! Love the mix of privacy and shared space as well. We chose to stay in crossroads because a lot of of our favorite restaurants are in this neighborhood and we wanted to walk everywhere. Perfect for that. My only recommendation is to message the host and see if there are any events to be aware of during your stay. This allows us to get a drink at Le lounge Friday night without missing out since it was closed for a private event Saturday. We absolutely loved our experience and will be back!!!
