Wild Goose Inn

Just wow. First of all, hosts are amazing. Everyone in this inn is nice and a pleasure to interact with. Whoever designed this hotel, they did an amazing job. Each room is an unique experience, and each done tastfully. It's even prettier in person, pictures on the web page don't do it justice. Each morning, there's a chef preparing breakfast for each guest. Food is amazing, and they really go out of their way to accommodate you. MSU is literally across the street, and there's bunch of restaurants walking distance from the inn. Parking is right next to the building, and there was plenty of room the whole time we were staying.

Cutest B&B, beautiful rooms filled with intricate details (stone fireplace, gold plaster ceiling, and wood stick bed frame), AND a resident dog named Yogi. Every morning we were served breakfast (starting with the freshest fruit...somehow in the middle of winter & TO DIE FOR muffins) by the owner, Al. He was welcoming, friendly, and had great suggestions on where we should visit (elderly instruments!). Overall, a great experience. Located close to downtown so we could walk to dinner & Pinball Pete's, but quiet without the noise of traffic or college town. Only minutes from MSU VMC.

Spending time at the Wild Goose Inn is akin to visiting an art gallery. It feels as though the owner is sharing his personal joy of paintings and sculptures from the travels he has incurred with his guests. Each space, the entrance, living room, dining room and guest rooms are filled with artistic treasures. The Inn is an absolute delight. And, every feature that is complimented by other reviewers is spot on. Additionally, we live locally. The Peanut Barrel is our local bar. The Inn is in the same block. We stayed there to have a night on/in the town, literally. What fun, we enjoyed both locations with a five minute drive and one minute walk to a mini-vacation spot. Judith & Ira

We stayed in the Spring Meadow suite for a one night get away and it was the best experience ever. Al and Paul were exceptional hosts and even Yogi (the dog) was super friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and cooked fresh. Al even showed us around a bit before we left. We will definitely be back to stay again.

Very charming. A lot of attention to the details

This was a surprise stay for my best friend. We were in town for a show at the Wharton Performance Hall at MSU. He was absolutely amazed at the room, (we stayed in Indian Summer). He loved the location and the tranquility of being at a charming “cottage” while in the heart of Lansing. It really was surreal that this was surrounded by businesses geared toward university students. I didn’t have breakfast, but my friend said it was wonderful. The dog was friendly as were the owners. There were so many positives, I do not have enough room to list them all! We had a great time! The Wild Goose Inn is on our list of places to return to in the future.

I have only stayed once but my stay, just over a week ago was splendid! I stayed in the Indian Summer Room. Loved it! Electric fire place, and a nice Cabin feel, similar to what you would have a great wolf lodge - of course in the most complimentary way! 7 foot long tub, tv that turns so you can watch it from the tv or tub, beautiful walk-in shower. Everyone there was so kind! Breakfast was delicious! I can’t wait to come back again soon and stay in another room, as they are all different and have various personalities & features!

Beautiful buildings. Loved the winter eden room. Met Al and he seemed great for the brief conversation we had. A nice place!

We spent the night of our wedding here, and can't say enough about their hospitality. The room was very nice, with a fire place and an amazing bath tub. We didn't stay for breakfast, but their dining space makes you feel right at home with warm, home cooked meals. Al was so kind. He provided fresh flowers for our room, and even gave us a wild goose Christmas ornament to commemorate our big day. Thank you so much, again!

We had a beautiful experience at this gorgeous B&B. Al clearly takes great care of this lovely home. We stayed in the Autumn arbor and loved the large jacuzzi. Breakfast was delicious! 10 out of 10 would recommend and looking forward to coming back!

Best room around Michigan State U. Freshly cooked free breakfast. Free fruit and water. Soft bed. And the Jacuzzi is perfect!
