Check in was a breeze, location is great, room was nice, they have a restaurant that is open until 10p, food trucks are right next door and they are also open late. Pro tip...when you walk into the dark room the master light switch is above the standard height switch to the left of the door.
The hotel is very nice, clean with beautiful rooms but is not in a luxury location. It is near the airport so if you are flying in/out and would like a very nice hotel to stay in, this is the one. The lobby has a bistro and bar, pool, and 24 hour gym so really it accommodates all your needs. There are fantastic food trucks right next door that provide a variety of types of food from BBQ to poke.
Very friendly, clean and welcoming. Great for a stay close to the airport before we headed out to explore Maui.
After 25 years of travel, and over 10 years as a Marriott Bonvoy member, and staying at many Marriott properties in multiple countries, I had one of my worst travel experiences ever at this hotel. The manager was rude, dismissive and unwilling to do the “right thing.” Do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel at all costs until a new manager is hired.
We recently stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Maui Kahului Airport with our family of four (including our 15 and 12-year-old kids), and it was exactly what we needed. Arrival & Check-In: Our flight landed late, and we didn't get to the hotel until around 10:30 PM. Despite the late hour, we were immediately greeted by an incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient front desk staff. They made the check-in process an absolute breeze and even provided us with complimentary water, which was a very thoughtful and much-appreciated touch after a long travel day. Room & Comfort: Once we got our keys, we were pleasantly surprised by the room. It was exceptionally clean, spacious, and well-equipped with great amenities, including a TV, a microwave, and a convenient pull-out desk. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring we all got a great night's sleep. As someone who is particular about hotel bathrooms, I was thrilled—it was the perfect size, and the water pressure in the shower (which is important to me!) was excellent. Location & Convenience: You really can't beat this location. It is literally minutes away from the airport and right next door to Costco, which is a huge plus for stocking up. Because we arrived so late and needed to grab dinner, we were relieved to find plenty of fast food options and food trucks right nearby. Overall Value: This hotel is absolutely perfect for families. It is reasonably priced, and the four of us fit comfortably without feeling cramped. If you need a clean, comfortable, and highly convenient place to stay near the Kahului airport, look no further. We will definitely be back!
We landed on the night of 2/24 evening around 9:40PM. We were told to call the hotel front desk to arrange for shuttle service. However, the front desk number failed. We were wondering if our phone had issue. After rebooting, the call to front desk still did not go through. We call main Marriott office and told that they can only text us the front desk number (see photo of text msg attached). When we told the operator the number was able to go through, she told us that the only she can do is to text us the front desk number again. Well, so much for the help. After nearly one hour of calling and trying, we finally decide to take Uber to the hotel, which is only 1 mile down the road. At check in, we were told that the front desk number has been down for the couple of days due to stormy weather. It happens when Maui had bad weathers. So it sounds like this happens from time to time when bad weather comes. What communication was between this hotel location and main office. I am pretty sure we were not the only one experienced such service. Marriott needs to improve their communication with their loyal members and fixed the phone issue once for all. I hope the customer service can take this issue and address it in a more productive and meaningful way. We were disappointed they did not show any compensations like free coffee or something other than just saying Sorry. We still love Marriott and will continue to use them as our primary choice when booking the hotel. I have the room two stars rate before the air conditioning was very noisy.
