The Setai, Miami Beach

Wonderful property with top-level finishes and fabulous beach - would return immediately. Wonderful hotel for its location and property with top-level finishes. Fabulous beach, sea with no seaweed in the month of June. On the beach, cold drinking water is always available and continuously brought under the umbrella by the staff. Sunscreen is also available at the lifeguard station. Beach access is private, with sunbeds and umbrellas dedicated only to hotel guests. Very trendy hotel, spectacular room with street view, with a bathtub inside the room and an almost fully open-space bathroom. Super comfortable sofa under the window to relax. Bathroom equipped with two sinks with a large and comfortable countertop for each of them. Upon arrival the hotel provides caps with the Setai logo as a gadget. Spectacular breakfast at the hotel restaurant for quality and quantity: fresh fruit juices, fresh centrifuged ginger, carrot juice, all à la carte and available. Wide variety of choice between salmon, sausage and bacon, cold cuts, cheeses, yogurt, all kinds of croissants, cereals and dried fruit, champagne. The hotel has a bar with a variety of liquors for all tastes and budgets. The property has three identical pools that only differ for the shade areas. Poolside food service is fast and of superb quality but expensive. The Setai is a very expensive hotel and you need to know how to find offers and promotions, especially on the Stay Longer. The only flaw is that to return from the sea you pass through the restaurant area, where on Sundays there are often events and brunches, so you return in your swimsuit inside the property to access the rooms. Another flaw, which I hope is temporary, is that there are many construction works in the surrounding area and by the pool there is not always relaxing silence. Highly recommended property, I would return immediately but only by finding offers because it is really very expensive. Location a bit away from the chaos but with a 15-minute walk you can reach all the restaurant and nightlife area.

Suites at the Setai are pretty pricey but as everything in life you get what you pay for. I must start by dating that the bed we slept in was probably the most comfortable mattress I’ve experienced in life. I believe I will be purchasing one for my next home in fact! We had a junior suite and it was clean, spacious and exactly the perfect amount of space we needed. There isn’t a view to speak of but I believe you can upgrade to a suite with an ocean or city view. Staff at every turn (with one exception) was helpful, polite and responsive. There was one particular hostess at the Jaya/Japon restaurant that was downright rude and honestly shouldn’t be in customer service. The open atrium that houses 2 of the restaurants is a great place to people watch or grab a snack or meal. The complementary breakfast was filling and good and also took place in the same atrium. I found it a bit quirky at first that everything in the hotel seemed to be in the same direction but thought this to be quite convenient as the beach the spa the restaurants and literally anything you need is literally in the same direction sort of a one way in one way out. The good thing is it’s impossible to get lost but the one bad thing is you have to trek through the atrium where people are eating and tables are close together get back to your room to get to the beach or anywhere you need to go. If you are traveling solo or as a couple, this is not a problem but if you have small kids in total as we do, this could be an issue. Beach access is less than 5 min walk and complementary recliners umbrellas and towels are provided by friendly staff members. The only real downside to our experience was the spa which was a bit of a letdown in terms of consistent performance, and even attitude as my wife received to somewhat “gruff” and not too friendly providers, which kind of dampered her experience. That aside the facilities were impressive and clean, and staff was friendly and little things like being able to text staff directly for urgent issues or questions was appreciated. Overall a great experience and I would strongly recommend the Setai for couples or first time, visitors to Miami as we were as it is in the heart of South Beach and you are minutes from the best restaurants if you are a foodie. There are beautiful hotels, there are luxury hotels, and then there are places that somehow make you feel something. The Setai, Miami Beach is one of those rare places. From the moment we arrived, everything felt effortless. The atmosphere is stunning—elegant, serene, intimate and sophisticated without ever feeling pretentious. Somehow, The Setai manages to be in the heart of Miami Beach while feeling like you’ve escaped to a private sanctuary somewhere far away. The property itself is breathtaking, but what truly makes The Setai extraordinary is the service. Every interaction felt warm, gracious and genuine. The staff has mastered something that is surprisingly difficult to find, even at the most expensive hotels: anticipating what you need without ever making the service feel intrusive. You aren’t simply treated like a hotel guest—you are made to feel genuinely cared for. The pools, beach, landscaping and beautiful Asian-inspired design create such a peaceful environment that you almost forget you’re in Miami. There is an incredible sense of calm throughout the property. During the day, it feels like a luxurious tropical retreat; in the evening, the entire hotel transforms into something incredibly romantic and magical. And the attention to detail is exceptional. The little touches, the immaculate surroundings, the atmosphere, the food, the service—it all comes together in a way that makes you want to slow down and actually enjoy every moment. What impressed me most is that The Setai doesn’t need to try to feel luxurious. There is no flashiness or forced extravagance. It is quiet, confident luxury at its absolute best. We have stayed at many beautiful hotels, and it takes a lot for a property to truly stand out. The Setai did. It is the kind of hotel you leave already thinking about when you can return. It is romantic enough for a couple’s getaway, beautiful enough for a special celebration, peaceful enough when you desperately need to recharge, and special enough that the hotel itself becomes part of the memories you take home. If you are debating whether The Setai is worth it: book it. Some hotels give you a beautiful room and a nice vacation. The Setai gives you an experience you remember. An absolutely exceptional stay from beginning to end. 10/10. No hesitation. We will be back.

I love the Setai. The location is convenient and close to the beach without being dominated by it. The service on the beach is quite simply the best i have ever experienced in the USA. Staff are friendly and attentive. I feel very loyal to the Setai

Very hot… over priced I’ve had better sushi in all the other places I’ve had sushi lol portions are small taste is bland not coming back here ever.. also no kids menu… honestly they need a funding for A/C asap everyone was sweating .. felt like I was eating in Las Vegas in the summer

Never have I visited a hotel with such over the top service. From the moment you arrive (shoutout to Alejandro) to the moment you leave, service was beyond comparison. They had the perfect balance of being there for anything you need without being intrusive. Then you add the incredible comfortable rooms, restaurants and beach access. What more could you want on a getaway beach vacation. Will I return…YES. I am already planning my return visit.

Wow wow wow! We arrived at the Setai to spend 3 nights to complete our holiday to the Keys. We booked 3 rooms and all I can say is that this place is pretty perfect! From arrival the staff were second to none. They even knew our names as we arrived from the valet to the reception. The rooms are outstanding and the shower is better than any hotel we have ever stayed in! The little extras like the free caps and the turndown service are all wonderful touches which you expect from a 5* but don’t always receive! The pool staff were fantastic and the whole ambience of the hotel is relaxed and chilled. The cleaning staff were amazing too. All in all the whole experience was second to none. Would not not hesitate to visit again and would highly recommend. Thank you!
