About This Event
The Bourbon Street Awards is New Orleans queer Mardi Gras institution: an outdoor drag and costume contest held every Fat Tuesday morning at the corner of Bourbon and St. Ann, in the heart of the French Quarter gay strip. Elaborate, competitive costumes draw thousands of spectators to the Lavender Line for one of the oldest LGBTQ+ Carnival traditions in America.
