We had lunch at Welty’s twice during our time in New Orleans and had a great experience both times! Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious, and the service was excellent. The husband and wife who own Welty’s are always there and couldn’t be friendlier, and the same goes for their family and the rest of the staff. You can tell they truly care about their customers and the quality of what they serve. If you’re visiting New Orleans or work in the area and are looking for a great, fresh sandwich and a friendly local spot for lunch, I highly recommend Welty’s. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip!

Do it. Just do it, cause the food and the people are amazing. Second floor food court seems a bit odd, but the food is so worth it. Highly recommend the muffuletta and the french dip. Wow!

Best French Dip I’ve had in New Orleans! I added some seasoning to the Au jus (personal preference). The roast beef was perfectly tender with no gristle.

We had the French Dip sandwich - it was loaded with tender delicious roast beef with an au jus that was flavorful and not too salty. The coleslaw was fresh with a light and slightly sweet dressing. The muffuletta 1/2 sandwich was huge! Again stuffed with meat, cheese and olive salad which was absolutely delicious! The staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this deli!

Was looking for an authentic muffuletta and found it at Welty’s. Fresh bread with a nice crunch and the sandwich was properly dressed. You will definitely want to have an appetite as the portion is large. They have been added to my list of places to stop at the next time I’m in town.
