Cafe Beignet, Royal Street

Drinks and desserts were delicious

Unfortunately, Cafe Beignet was a disappointment for our family. The restaurant is small so of course, table space was an issue. The food looked delicious on the menu, but the actual food was poorly cooked and, in my opinion, reminded me more of IHOP cusine rather than what I expected from an established New Orleans restaurant. To make matters worse, the $225 tab for a family looking for good food and value. Definitely will not be going back.

Every time I go home to New Orleans, Cafe Beignet (Royal St. location especially) is a must. I actually branched out and ordered the chocolate strawberry beignets this last time and they were wonderful. Beautiful cafe/courtyard atmosphere, fabulous beignets, croissants and coffee.

Came for a morning coffee and wish I’d had more time to spend eating and enjoying the NOLA morning. The staff was friendly and the coffee was perfect. Food looked amazing…maybe next time.

Out of all the places we ate by far this had the best red beans and rice and beignets were absolutely phenomenal.

The breakfast omelet was fresh and delicious. You will not be disappointed..

Enjoyed my first beifnet when passing through New Orleans! Totally get to hype!

Beautiful building. Food was good and the beginners were more crispy and airy, if not a little over fried. Staff was struggling, not sure if it was a rush but it seemed they were confusing everyone’s order as we got somone else’s and kept hearing others getting served the wrong thing. Maybe their order system was on the fritz because with the numbered tables, it should be pretty smooth.

OMG...finally I get to see the deal with beignets, DELICIOUS!!!! Will be back here everytime I come back to Nola!!! Lovely atmosphere and great food. YUMMMMM
