Gay & Lesbian Independent Democrats

The Gay & Lesbian Independent Democrats (GLID) isn't a bar or a museum. It's an organization that helped shape New York's LGBTQ+ political history.

Started in 1972, GLID was the city's first gay and lesbian democratic club. That makes it a landmark in the fight for queer representation and political power.
