About this place LPAC

LPAC is a New York-based political action committee focused on advancing policies for lesbian women and their families. This isn't an entertainment spot; it's about civic engagement and political influence—a good stop for LGBTQ+ travelers interested in activism. If you want to see how LGBTQ+ communities push for their interests politically, this is a place to learn. New York’s LGBTQ+ scene has plenty of groups working behind the scenes to shape policy and get supportive candidates elected. LPAC does a lot of that work. It makes sure lesbian perspectives and family issues get heard in political conversations, both locally and nationally. Curious about grassroots political work in LGBTQ+ communities, or how to connect with advocacy efforts while you’re in New York? Their website has details on what they do and their current campaigns. This is for travelers who want to see real community engagement, not just nightlife, and who want to support groups working for lesbian women and LGBTQ+ families.

To whom it may concern. On Saturday June 6th 2026 at around 245-250pm. I entered the lag permorning center entrance and as I approached the security desk I asked the older guard was there an elevator to go to the main theater, before she can respond Officer Castillo (black woken with 2 cornrows or twist going back and reading glasses) responded to me and so absolutely not you have to take the stairs. So I didn’t think anything about it until I walked passed and turnt around and I seen that Officer Castillo was talkin about me like a dog and the older women was laughing. This is beyond distasteful, this is a well known college that holds many events to be talked about and laughed at behind my back was pretty hurtful due to the fact I was not feeling to good and felt nauseous and didn’t not want to jump my stomach by taking the stairs. I understand that there are rules and maybe visitor are not allowed to used the elevator but to talk trash behind my back and to laugh is just disgusting. I too am a guard so I know for a fact this is unacceptable and needs to be dealt with and a professional manner. I attended this school for my son graduation and other events, event the other guard the black man with the bald head was pretty nice and understanding. I don’t know what it is with females but we need to stop this and get along. Why talk about me and laugh I did nothing but ask a question. And even when she answered she was digging in her bag and didn’t even look up to speak to me in a professional manner. Just sad very very sad! Shame on you Officer Castillo.
