The Front Porch

Awesome food. Very fresh. Staff was phenomenal. Drinks were amazing. Plenty of gluten free options for my wife. Including GF fried calamari GF bang bang shrimp. Yummy. And an amazing pan seared scallop dish served over sweet potatoe hash. A must have.

We went to this piano bar with my family—my mom, sisters, and boyfriend—and overall had such a great time. The place was PACKED, the music was great, the crowd was fun, and everyone was dancing and enjoying themselves. The atmosphere is exactly what you’d want from a lively piano bar. Unfortunately, we had one really bizarre interaction with one of the servers that put a damper on an otherwise great night. While we were dancing, one of my sisters accidentally bumped into a server carrying drinks, which caused a drink to spill on another guest. We immediately apologized to the woman who was accidentally splashed, and she seemed to understand—it was clearly an accident. Considering everyone was packed in like sardines and dancing, something like this is bound to happen occasionally. What shocked us was the server’s reaction. She screamed at the top of her lungs during the performance, “THIS IS THE SECOND TIME YOU DID THIS, YOU NEED TO CHILL,” along with profanity. We were all confused because this was the first time anything like this had happened. She then called a bouncer over to remove my sister. Once he came over and saw that my sister wasn’t overly intoxicated or causing a problem—she was literally just dancing and had accidentally bumped into someone—he thankfully recognized the situation for what it was and let us continue enjoying our night. And we did! We stayed, danced, sang along, and had an absolute blast for the rest of the evening. The strangest part actually happened as we were leaving. My mom still felt bad that the server had gotten so upset, so despite how she had spoken to us, she went over and gave her an additional tip as a peace offering. The server took the money and proceeded to throw it on the ground in front of us. At that point, we realized there was no reasoning with her and simply left. It’s unfortunate because literally everyone else we encountered was great, including the bouncer, and the overall experience was so much fun. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting and would even come back myself. The atmosphere and entertainment were fantastic. Just maybe steer clear of the blonde server if she’s working. 😅 A packed piano bar full of people drinking, singing, and dancing probably isn’t the ideal environment for someone who reacts that aggressively to an accidental bump.

Surprisingly didn’t have the best experience here today. Every time I’ve been to The Front Porch in the past, I’ve had a great experience (service, food, etc.). Today we sat outside in the back- the atmosphere and drinks were great but the food and service left something to be desired. Our waitress was very nice but slow, by no fault of her own, the outside area just seemed understaffed. In terms of the food, we had to send the calamari back because it tasted fishy and rubbery. We got the boneless tenders instead which were overcooked and the sauces on the side were too salty. I’d come back here for a drink but that’s about it.

Good food and cocktails, food on the first floor, really fun singalong piano bar on the second. Hard to get a seat upstairs during peak times but so fun if you can!

We have been here several times. Our meals lady night were perfection. We had scallops on sweet potato hash browns which were amazing and lobster risotto.
