Ogunquit Beach - Footbridge End (Gay Beach)

The northern end of Ogunquit Beach, reached by walking left from the main Beach Street entrance toward the footbridge over the Ogunquit River, has been the gay section of the beach for decades. On warm afternoons between late spring and early autumn it is where much of gay Ogunquit spends the day. It is a public beach used by families too, and it is social rather than secluded. Ordinary beach manners apply. The crowd thins quickly outside summer.
