San Mateo County Pride Center

The San Mateo County Pride Center, based in the city of San Mateo, is the county-wide hub for LGBTQ+ support and community. Opened in June 2017, it serves residents across San Mateo County — including the Pacifica coastside — with mental-health services, peer support groups, and social programming.

The center runs youth and senior groups, offers affirming counseling, and hosts regular community events throughout the year. It is a roughly 20-minute drive east from Pacifica and remains the largest dedicated LGBTQ+ resource in the county for those who want ongoing support beyond a visit.
