About this place Johnny Costa's Ristorante

Lulu California Bistro

Lulu California Bistro, on Palm Springs' Palm Canyon Drive, is a local go-to, with Palm Springs Life readers voting its Italian food the best in town.

The place does traditional Italian: thin-crust pizzas, seafood, and pasta made in-house. It’s the kind of cooking you’d expect from an Italian owner and founder.

Palm Springs has always been a place for LGBTQ+ visitors, and Lulu fits right in. You can pop in for a quick bite or settle in for a full dinner—the menu is easygoing, good for solo diners, friends, or a couple wanting a low-key night.

Find current hours, reservations, and the full menu on their website. The address is 440 S Palm Canyon Drive, right on the main drag for food and fun in Palm Springs.

One of the best Italian restaurant in town. Must try! You will always remember the taste.

I met two other couples for dinner. We all seem to navigate to the the chicken marsala. It was very good. The salad was pretty much standard and they heard me when I requested extra dressing. I go to Johnny Costas twice a year for the same dish. Always a favorite with me. Five stars.

Perfect visit to a Palm Springs institution since 1976. Sinatra's visage is etched into the doors, as he used to visit here.

I would like to say, hands down, this restaurant is amazing! I ordered the fish with the lemon sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend anyone visiting Palm Springs to check this place out.

Wonderful! I recommend the linguine with clams (garlic and olive oil sauce); the tiramisu was delicious. The service was excellent.
